I wonder if there are improvements to the hot pixel issues that adobe have where as Capture One doesn’t have that issue.
don´t use this!!!!
don´t update yet!!!
have a look at the adobe lightroom forum first. this release is BUGGY AS HELL!!!
for example the syncronize folder function does not work on many systems.
apple systems have issues with crashes.
I bought Lightroom 6 because Adobe claimed performance improvements (the biggest issue with any type of RAW software). It is slower than Lightroom 5 in any aspect. The preview rendering, both in develop and library module, is extremely slow compared to version 5.
Lightroom was fast once, now it turns more and more into bloated junkware. It gets slower and slower even on the newest hardware.
Has anyone suggestions for a good alternative (in the performance department of course)?
All alternatives I’m aware of, are even slower than Lightroom.
BTW, I use Mac’s only.
Switch to Capture One, they have cookies.
if you dont need th DAM features of LR… capture one is a good alternative.
Capture One as long as you’re plug-in free and don’t shoot video. It’s free, or almost free for the full (Sony only) version.
maybe its the mac, mine works faster now on my pc.
Doesn’t PhaseOne offer a free edition of Capture One for Sony cameras?
Capture one is much faster, almost no delay in rendring.
Dammit. Thanks for the tip. Adobe was state of the art once. Remember Photoshop 5 or Illustratior 6. Even Lightroom was great at the beginning. And most importantly, it worked.
Long time ago…. :/
The biggest pain in the a*s is, that you are forced to a new software version, just to get new cameras and lenses supported. The Software should be seperated from the code which reads the proprietary RAW files and of course the camera and lens profiles.
While I haven’t looked at the forum (yet), last night at a photo club meeting, people were warning others that Adobe totally reworked the ‘import’ feature, and the discussion wasn’t in a good way.
the new release is buggy.. pure crap.
if i had paid for it i would be frustrated…..
