Andrea: “I just want to share with you this video, an example of an interview work/journalistic work entirely shot in 4K with my A7s + Atomos Shogun and two lenses, the Nikon Fisheye 16mm f2.8 and the canon fd 50mm 1.4. Edited in FCPX and color corrected with Color Finale. I conformed the video to 1080p.
The video was shot in Milan into the COOP stand in EXPO 2015.
‘Do you want to know how the supermarket of the future will be?’
The video is entirely subtitled in English.

I have to say the 4K quality of the A7s is just amazing. I really want to try asap the internal 4k of the new A7r2.”

Hai: “I see a lot of videos shot on A7ii, A7S etc. on SAR and though it would be a good joke to share my video shot on A77 (not even mark ii) https://vimeo.com/124074849“

  1. @admin: SAR is getting harder and harder to load on my very fast pc. Could you do a code check or make the site a bit lighter, please?

  2. I am stunned by how many out of focus still shots JL published on this video.

Jason asks… “How do you top that? How do you top that?”

Well, next time, try doing a little photojournalism. The environment is plentiful with natural event, activity, history. No need for a preconceived static canned portrait that we’ve all seen a thousand times. We don’t know anything more about the subject or environment than before JL arrived. I hope the old man got paid. His time spent served little more than JL’s PR campaign and creepy self flattering chuckles… “oh my god”… Jason… get a new line… or pay one of your assistants to whisper it in the background. Saying it yourself, to yourself, only makes you seem weird, in a small self absorbed kind of way.

  3. From the very first time I watched a JL video I did’t saw a photographer but a performer selling gear and trying to convince people how outstanding he is.
I wonder what the Masters of photography would say.

    1. ‎MAKE $98 regularly on the net!!!!……….After earning an average of 19952 Dollars monthly,I’m finally getting 98 Dollars an hour, just working 4-5 hours daily online… three to five hours of work daily… Weekly paycheck… Bonus opportunities…Payscale of $6k to $9k /a month… Just few hours of your free time, any kind of computer, elementary understanding of web and stable connection is what is required…….HERE I STARTED-TAKE A LOOK AT…….mv..

  4. Nice video from Jason Lanier, and those who’re critiquing him negatively for that shoot say more about themselves than they do of him. Moments like that, inside that Church, are what get photographers out of bed every day. Wonderful to see, and its easy to relate to his enthusiasm when you’ve walked that path for a few decades.

  5. Jason Lanier – The next time you are in a church, take your hat off! Whether you are religious or not, you take your hat off as a show of respect. I shoot around the world (including many churches) and do my best not to offend others.

  6. First off this guy gets on my nerves, as caver3d said, Take off your hat. You’re in a house of worship, show a little respect. Secondly when you shoot you need to make more eye contact with the subject and when talking to your guide to give instructions to your subject, you MUST make eye contact with both. He never looks at the priest, always to the others around him, and when multiple languages are involved this is paramount to making not only the subject but everyone feel comfortable.

This guy seems to be a gear junkie, its 90% skill and talent, and 10% gear, not the other way around.

I hope the subject was compensated in some way, or a donation was made to the church. Typically one has to do this in order to gain access to places like this and people.

Im sorry, i don’t speak out often on here, but this type of person annoys me greatly. And before anyone says anything, I have shot portraits all over, from nude men in coffee shops, to foreign military bases, and everything in between. Respect is key, respect for the people, the culture and the environment you are in, something seemingly lacking in this video.

Again.. JL make eye contact with the subject, they humans and deserve your respect and interaction.
