The superb Sigma 50mm ART A-mount lens got a $100 discount at Amazon, Adorama and BHphoto. This is a no brainer deal for a lens that is almost as good as the $4000 Zeiss Otus!

Nice! So what exactly is the A-mount? 🙂
Perhaps a new adapter.
Thanks, but I’ll take the 55/1.8 and skip the gym session
i find it strange, sigma stated awhile ago that it was going to start making FE-mount lenses, but then there was nothing.
I guess this discount is another show that that A-mount is fading away, just as Oleg alleges…
speaking of lenses, it would be nice to get an updated roadmap from sony. they gave us a 2-year time line before and now nothing, so sad….
I really wish Sony would just put everyone out of their misery already with the A-mount. If the A7R2 isn’t the final nail in the coffin, I don’t know what is.
I guess you don’t know what is . . .
“You know nothing, Jon Stewart !”
I wouldn’t touch A7RII for sports/press/reportage — not even close to a solution for that work. Great camera for landscapes and studio photography though!
