Anonymous: “Hi there, I just wanted to share a new music video that we just published today, shot entirely on the Sony A7S. It showcases the slow motion capabilities of the Sony A7S shooting in 60fps mode (particularly in the 2nd half of the clip). The song is called ‘Waiting’, and it is by Queensland rock band ‘Collins Class’. Hopefully your readers will be interested. Thankyou. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gml9Yk2ppzg“

A very good review of the FE superzoom.
Confirms in many aspects my experiences with it. I used it during my 10 day Greece vacation recently and I enjoyed it very much for its versatility as a travel lens.
I care about lens’ size, weight and handling. Couldn’t care less what it looks like on the camera
Decent performance considering the zoom range, but badly in need of a raw file lens correction profile for Lightroom or Camera Raw.
Which version are you using?
There is a profile available in LR CC and CR.
CR 9.1, I don’t see it in the pull down.
Weird. I have Adobe CC with ACR 9.1, and it is definitely there.
Found it, had to load an A7r raw file to see it. Thanks for the tip guys. 🙂
That’s weird too, because I used a file from a Canon 5D MkIII (sample file for Laowa 15mm macro lens). 😛
Well, happy you got it solved anyway.
I didn’t select Sony FE in the Lens Profile box for Make first, that was the issue.
Your pic?
Brave guy. Looks scary to me. 🙂
Nope. Sample file from Laowa. I was checking how their new 15mm macro lens performs.

The a6000 in france is common @ 500€ …
Does anyone have an idea how the Tamron 28-300 pzd for Sony e-mount may perform on the A7r II via a- to e-mount adapter? Or for that matter the Canon 28-300 full frame superzoom on the new A7r II…?
From everything I read the Tamron superzoom seems to perform noticeably better than the Sony 24-240, but it´s not available as native e-mount lens.
Sorry, meant Sony a-mount fro the Tamron of course.
Can someone explain to me why a thousand dollar zoom lens doesn’t have 9 blades? 1k and 7 blades- yes there is a difference.
Yes, for the same reason the 20 blades Tair 11a isn’t worth $5000.
