    1. Having waited around all day for that call yesterday, I’ve now been told that stock for some regions has been diverted to fulfill orders in higher-demand areas, and my order won’t come in until next week. So I get to spend the next seven to ten days waiting by my phone!

      1. Same here. It seems my store and/or Montreal didn’t get any stock and the clerk said they haven’t even been given an estimate of when the cameras will arrive (though they already had a huge stack of the free leather half-cases when I made my pre-order).

I feel like Bart Simpson yelling at the mail carrier: Where’s my spy camera? Where’s my spy camera!?! WHERES MY SPY CAMERA?!?!?!?

(given that one of my favorite new features in the X-T10 is the silent shutter, this is particularly apt).

    1. It’s going to be a runaway success, as this camera now places excellent mirrorless cameras within the budget of those who would otherwise buy an “entry-level” DSLR with kit-lens.

      1. I’m still not so sure. I feel like the majority of buyers in the market will buy canon, nikon or sony apsc options with the idea that they can buy full frame glass then upgrade to a full frame body when they are ready. For fuji sake I hope your right time will tell

        1. I’m with Robert, I think this camera is going to hit a sweet spot for a lot of people who’d been giving Fuji sideways looks but haven’t been able to justify the jump. The X-E2 had a lot of weird flaws and has been begging for an update for a long time, the X-T1 is expensive enough that it can’t compete at all with “entry level” DSLRs and both of them were too advanced to be used by the HUGE market of people who need a full automatic mode as a fallback if nothing else (i.e. high end family cameras).

The X-T10 is a proper camera with nice viewfinder that is affordable with the XC bundle and can be used by anyone with the SR Auto switch. Despite that it also has all the important features of the X-T1, so there’s no sense that it’s somehow “crippled” to justify the X-T1’s higher price.

Still a high end camera for sure (you can get 99% of the effect from the latest Rebel) but for people with money who want a compact ultra-high IQ camera it will be a lot more tempting than what Fuji has sold before.

  1. I was waiting for a decent review from the big 3 but since Sony’s trio release they seem to of mothballed it.
