[shoplink 32947 ebay]loxia50mm[/shoplink]

Back in November I wrote that it would take a lot of time (probably months) before the Loxia 50mm lens would be back in Stock in US. Zeiss officially quickly answered to say this wasn’t true. Anyway, Many months passed and for now no Big US store has them in Stock (Check here at BHphoto for example). Since yesterday only 2 Loxia 50mm are in Stock via FocusCamera on [shoplink 32947 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink] and Amazon (Click here). That’s all. Grab them now if you were waiting for it.

  1. Any rumor for Loxia 85mm f/2 and Loxia 135mm f/2?

I badly need a wide angle Loxia. 24mm f/2 will do it but I heard a sony 25mm f/2 is coming soon.
The thing I hate about sony lens is the fly-by-wire focus so the Loxia will do the work for me

    1. Pretty sure any rumor that can be published on this site will be, any old excuse to post affiliate links or clickbait is posted here.

        1. Who are you talking to? I’m not the other guy called bob i’m bob, the other bob is very boring. I’m busy rendering and batch converting so time to do what bored fanboys do: argue about nothing in comment sections of rumor sites.

      1. You know, some people rely on AF because their eyesight isn’t good enough to be reliable for MF… (and yes, they can still take great pictures)

          1. Absolutely, but that wasn’t the point. This commenter was saying that someone who uses AF is committing a “creative fail”, and my point is that that is complete bull****.

      2. You think focus is a creative detail? In some shots it might be, like a deliberate out of shot focus, but you can do that with an autofocus lens, can you not? I like manual lenses because they’re nice to use but it has nothing to do with creative details

  2. A lot of these lenses will end up on ebay in a few months when people realize they manual focussing is not for them 🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. Already have. I’ve seen one go for under 8 bills on ebay. Patience and you can have it for around 750.00. It’s not worth much more than that.

    1. Yeah, my best photos are taken without a lens, only a bottle of beer over a sensor. Killer quality, and much cheaper. Wonder why Zeiss uses that T*, without it they would surely be like in top 10 glass manufacturers. Maybe even better than Soligor.

  3. This lens is a reward for all Sony fanboys who spent the past two years bidding on legacy 50mm lenses on ebay.
Zeiss people are as idiots as Sony 🙂

    1. He he, I can see that the beautiful Loxia lens series are like a thorn in the eyes of Canikon fanboys. Envious a?

        1. Yep, they are modern, compact, newly designed Zeiss lenses for the digital age with sufficient F2.0 aperture and perfect build quality. Plus they are designed to be mounted at 18mm flange distance ending up with a nice beautiful compact setup.

If F2.0 is not wide enough for you, better put more effort in improving your photography skills!

          1. Sure I need to improve my skills because focusing on f/2 is way harder than focusing on f/1.2
Bro don’t just copy paste comments from others.

          2. I don’t see where I’ve copied from?
However, this still doesn’t change the fact that there is no such lens line for Canon!

    1. It’s only the 3rd dude. And for reals….just buy a good ol 100mm 2.8 Minolta macro. Save the change.

      1. i dont have a-mount adapter. plus looking forward to having a longer af lens…and feb is a VERY short month..and tax return monies..and i havent bought a lens since the 16-35..wait..thats not true..voigt 40 1.4..but still.. need camera lenses and stuff.

        1. Is the price for this 90mm macro known? Cause if its too expensive, maybe the best option is to save for 100mm makro planar, which is IMO maybe even the best lens ever produced.

          1. looks like its going to be 1100-1300 usd. im sure the makro is wonderful..however i’d LIKE to pick up a few AF lenses..as i have plenty of mf.

          2. That’s a lot of change. If you don’t need AF you can get 20 dollar alpha adapter. 100 2.8 is one of the best minolta lenses. It seriously is sharp.
