by purchasing your camera using the link below, you’ll support Fujirumors. You won’t pay a single penny more for your camera, but a small commision goes to FR. It’s big help for the site and keeps it ticking over.

As you already read in the X-pert corner special of the X-E2, (must read, also the very interesting discussion in the comments!) “the EVF/LCD refresh rate has been significantly improved from 20 fps to 50-60 fps in low light“. What this means can be seen in the following video shared via youtube by Randall Cipriano. Randall says that “as you can see, the X-E2 has been vastly improved showing very little lag which was one of the major weaknesses of the X-E1.”
vastly improved EVF, faster AF and much more (read here) = great news 🙂

This is so awesome !
How does the X100S EVF speed compare to this i wonder ? Should technically be the same .. or if not after a firmware update at least, if they did some coding to make this one more efficient.
4 Thumbs up The X E2 is going to Rock!
Very nice indeed ! The spoilt brat in me now would ardently desire an update for the X100s – since they share sensor and processors.
No doubt about the improvement ! Thanks Randall and Patrick.
Does the EVF/LCD refresh rate depend of the hardware of the firmware? in other word, Will it be possible that Fuji updates XE1 firmware and includes a higher refresh rate?
Martin
I believe both.
Indeed both, but for the most part the EXR Processor II.
Can you please compare both camera in low light with manual focusing with zoom in feature.
Thanks,
With a camera like this, I could rule the world!
Well, pretty close. I am just hoping that the X-Pro2 i somewhere around the corner.
That OVF is supposed to have lightning fast refresh time i hear. 😉
Wow with an evf like that I will be able to take much better photos, this coupled with face detection and I’ll be set for life.
I know this is not the best place to ask, but does anyone know if it supports manual video control?
