Deal remnder?
I read somewhere this camera lacks soul…whatever that means….so I didn’t buy it. All the specs check the right boxes off though. I wonder what will replace it….
Only what you need as a photographer is a “photographic soul”. Simples
WE, Sony customers, need an RX set of four cameras:
something between 18 and 24mm (21mm would be great) (f2.8 or even f4 to keep the size down)
35mm f2
50mm f2 macro
85mm f2 or f2.8 macro
All of them weather sealed with tiltable screens, in-built ND, proper wireless and wired remote control, as well as a battery grip.

I wouldn’t mind if they are launched at the same time (50, 24, 85) and with a new sensor (either with PDAF or 36mp to keep on milking those waffers)
Or even a re-launch with all Rs: 35mmR PDAF, 50mmR PDAF, 24mmR PDAF.
I can only dream but Admin should, one day, shed some light.
In the meantime I am gathering cash for an RX1R as my second RX1 (because none of the 35mms on the A7 or A7r match the beauty of the Sonnar)
I am just got the A7 and was thinking maybe for the same price I could have got the RX1 instead of saving up for the 35mm 2.8 but I like changing lenses so now I may just save up for the rx1 and not get the 35mm and get the 55m instead.

I personally donÄt think they will concentrate much on making so many RX FF cameras. Maybe a 50mm.
I rather like to see Sony making small lenses for the A7, maybe a 50 F2.8 macro and a 24 F2.8. There will be smaller and cheaper bodies in the AX series so I personally don’t see a big reason to make many RX cameras
It’s just my want 🙂
I’d prefer a set of RX over an a7, because it will keep the size smaller and there will be no need to change lenses. These are my main concerns.
