  1. fiy, Sony europe also has very good deals on the education store. Students have up to 25% off on several items. the a7 costs 1200€ for french students with imagin’r pass, and the 55mm is only 750€ for all students.

  2. The A7 body and kit, and A7R body are listed for the 4% deal, but it’s not clear whether this applies only to new orders. I have contacted Amazon to see whether I would need to cancel and re-place my pre-order to qualify.

    1. Heard back from Amazon… yes, I would need to cancel and re-place my order to get the 4%. In the meantime, places like Focus are throwing in batteries, and cases, and SD cards.

      1. Hmm. I just sent an email asking them the same thing, before I saw your comment. That is really bad of them!! I guess that is our reward for waiting two months!

      2. I think the trick at Amazon may be to add another camera. If they both come at the same time, ship the first one back for a refund and get the 4% rebate. If the second one is backordered beyond your tolerance, keep the first one, cancel the second one and forget the 4% rebate. 🙂

  3. Am I missing something? Which lens are you able to save $200 at Amazon? Most I see is ~$100.

Or is this a “save $200 on totally marked up MSRP price that no one actually charges deal”?
