Store demo model. Yikes. Seems like a store demo model should be $500 or even less.
What are Sony’s plans for RX200. This year, or next year?
Always great to see another ebook for the RX100!
Just a minor critique, but the introduction of the book says it targets “ambitious
amateurs and professionals” however, it appears to be pretty basic and I think really meant more for the amateur / beginner perhaps?
Otherwise great book and photos!
Having both of the words amateur and professional sells more. 😉
The RX100 is a great camera, but I sold mine because I couldn’t get over the limited zoom capabilites.
Cropping wasn’t sufficient?
It wasn’t for you from the beginning. You are doomed to use 1/2.3″ sensor size amateur cameras with 36x zoom 🙂
I did some test and my friend’s high zoom point and shoot(I think it was sony hv20) looked better at 10x then a cropped RX100 image.
I wasn’t looking for 36x zoom, I wanted at least 8x. And i have an a77, but I wanted something compact that I could just put in my pocket.
And what about android users?
Was the ebook from Gary Friedman already mentioned?

I had the one for the A900, which was pretty good.
