Anyone know when the first A99’s will be out?
In USA (B&H Photo) at 11-9-2012. In Italy at the end of October. Have good photos!
Conspiracy theorists rejoice! Sony’s new 9-series camera will be released 11 years after 9/11 and has the name A99 (9*11).
but it doesn’t cost 2001 $ 😉
And does anyone know when the a99 will go on sell at a lower price like $2,699.00?
That’s only a $100 difference in price from the actual sale price. Stop being so cheap and greedy. Spend your money and enjoy it. Or don’t.
Don’t be such an ass!
I know what the suggested retail price is on the a99
I was just pointing out that Sony almost always put it’s cameras on sale at some point.
And I’m not cheap but try to be smart
I waited and didn’t get the a900 and purchase two a850’s
Give it three weeks after release. The pre-ordering scheme is a failure so once all the pre-orders are filled they will lower the price.
A99 goes on sale 10/26 (in Japan). U.S. market will be November. No news on NEX-6 yet, as I am waiting for both.
Thats were I got my nex-c3 2 weeks ago. Shipping is very fast
Arg… They hit the market too slow..
I was wondering about the dual focus system. The lenses that initially support this dual system are about six initially. If you have any of these lenses do they automatically work with the 99 or do they need updated? The next question would be how do you update the lenses? Can you attach the lens to the camera and through a usb connection update the lens or does it need sent back to Sony? I will be calling Sony as well but in case anyone had he protocol for this it would be appreciated.
And remember that the LAEA2 adaptor price has fallen from $400 to $275 in the United States.
I am almost 100% certain it will be through USB.
