It seems that every time Admin posts another alert of GH4s “In Stock”, (regardless how many units), they are are always “SOLD OUT” in a big hurry.
Everywhere people are calling the Panasonic GH4 a “game changer” . . . Obviously it is!!!
First time I’ve ever seen any camera, so popular, in such demand, that photographers and videographers are compelled to “Pre-Order” it. Even at $1700. a pop the GH4 sells out immediately.

I wish the camera success but it smells of this marketing strategy that even Olympus used for OM-D E-M1 – creating artificial demand by making a lot of hype and restricting shipments. This is not a sustainable long-term strategy – only the actual sales over a longer period of time will tell.
Ever gave any thought that there is NO hype, that people ACTUALLY want to get this camera, because of its usage such as affordable 4K? I don’t see how selling out everywhere is creating artificial demand.

But yes I congratulate Pana and hope GH4 is a great success, and makes them a lot of money.
Please take Rchard’s words a bit to your heart, since maybe Oly had some succes with the E-M1 as well.
Agree. They should start making real cameras and selling them at real prices, if they don’t want to go down.
Important note to @Viezevure & Co: GH4 is certainly a Full Frame camera, otherwise it wouldn’t sell so good.
