Image courtsey: PetaPixel.
We have the first review of the newly announced Lomo experimental MFT lenses:
Petapixel tested the lenses and writes: “I think it is a great addition to the MFT family. It shows that the system has enough users for new companies to produce lenses for it. No need to mess around with quirky adapters to get these lo-fi shots. No messing around with post processing if you want to add a certain effect to your pictures.” The original article is from Dirk and can be found at Essl.de.
The lenses are already in Stock at http://shop.lomography.com/ (worldwide shipment).

We’re very sorry, but that page doesn’t exist or has been moved.
Please make sure you have the right URL.
Just remove the ” at the end of the link… Or read the article on petapixel 😉
ah.. thx..
“No messing around with post processing if you want to add a certain effect to your picture”
Thank the lord that buying three overpriced lenses and fiddling with them for hours upon end will take away the hassle of pressing one button in photoshop.
Which button would that be?

That doesn’t make any sense.
Yeah, who wants to play around with lenses and cameras when we can sit and work in photoshop.
People hardly understand what this means for m4/3, they can just only complain and say that this is not for them and nothing else, without realizing that for Lomo to create lenses for m4/3 it means that it’s relevant enough and on the other hand, there will be people looking for m4/3 cameras because they got to know it because of these lenses. This is much more than simply saying “oh, this overpriced crappy lens”, “why would I want to use this if I can do it on post”, etc. that just shows stupidity in missing the point of the lenses completely. The Universe is not just for you, look at the bigger picture.
Agree. People will use these lenses for much the same reason some of us sometimes go out and shoot with a Holga, a Lomo or an old vintage camera. Because it’s FUN and sometimes produce some very interesting and unexpected results. Pressing a button in Photoshop just isn’t the same.
I put it on a small gh3: fisheye and 12mm are quite usable and very funny.
i will use it for live music background where too much sharpness is only distracting.
Wellcome back in the sixties!
I have a Lomo since the 90th-and always liked the other idea of photographie. No composition, and no perfect pictures, but pure fun.
One of the first things i did with my Pen was adding old/Cmount lenses to play along, so this lenses fit to this kind of shooting fun. the only thing that i dont like is, that they only sell the whole set. I would buy the 12mm for 30€ but the whole set ist to much for me. 😉
Another camera that fits the Lomo idea is this http://www.theqcamera.com/
I think these would go nicely with the somewhat-crappy new android-based polaroid m4/3 camera. You could make an app that automatically rectifies the fisheye shots (or maybe one already exists). I’m surprised that lomo hasn’t started selling that camera yet.
