After the announcement of the XQ1 the price of the XF1 is continuously falling. At the moment the black and red XF1 cost $199 at AmazonUS here and BHphoto while Adorama is selling the red and black version cost for $249.

atmtx just wrote me saying: “Dear Fuji Rumors, I took my 1st step into the Fuji X system by getting the XF1. I recently shot the F1 weekend in Austin with the XF1 which your readers might be interested to see. Very impressive for a point and shoot.” See his shots here.

Bad timing on my part, got mine from Amazon 10 days ago for $299.
Send it back and buy it new for the discounted price…
Eric, that happened to me before, and I want to encourage you to email Amazon customer service and explain your situation. It happened to me before, and I was pleasantly surprised. Amazon is pretty awesome.
Amazon’s customer service is great. They allowed me to return the XF1 after I learned its RAW format is incompatible with Aperture.
Just picked one up at a local dealer who matched Amazon’s price. Got the nifty little leather case too. Beautiful camera! I love the fit and finish and being an X-E1 owner, love the quality of the pics. Plus, I was a Contax TVSII owner and this is very reminiscent of that lovely camera. I recommend wholeheartedly!
