(great deals also if you pre-order from Europe. Read more here.)

BHphoto: New Benefits for International Customers: PayPal now open to all countries!

Here is how it goes according to the German FR-reader Oleg, who bought the 27mm for €223: “The price is 199$, the delivery is 44$. Once you choose Germany as country of delivery, on check-out on B&H to deal with duties, you you pick one of two. 1. You can check “pay duties now” and that would be 100$ and you need not go to customs office (Zollamt), since you have basically paid all in full (btw, ebay sellers offer such option as well). So, it will make 343$, or 250 Euro. You pay 343 to B&H. And hopefully nothing else. 2. You can check “pay on delivery” and all you pay is 243$, or 178 Euro to B&H. Since I am not sure about the first option (more precisely, that I will not have to pay even more custom duties) and custom office is close to Cologne, I chose the second option “pay on delivery.”

XF 14mm: $200 off (price $700) at BHphoto / Adorama / AmazonUS / Pictureline
XF 18mm: $200 off (price $400) at BHphoto / Adorama / AmazonUS / Pictureline

  1. Wex UK delivered mine this morning. Beautiful lens. The aperture ring and manual focus ring are both well dampened…. massive piece of glass! Going to have fun playing with this this afternoon after finishing processing!!

  2. 999 euros makes a nice premium for the resellers, who conveniently pretend that there is equality between euros and dollars, whereas in fact 1 euro = 1.3 dollars…

I think I’ll wait until the appropriate adjustment is made, and in the meantime, I will take my Nikon D3s or D700 to Istanbul…

    1. You are going to be waiting a long long time 🙂 Your government is responsible for the difference, they use the money to build roads and things …

      1. I’m not sure which country you’re referring to, but our tax structure doesn’t account for a 35% premium.

        1. At least in Germany a seller has to pay a lot of extra stuff like for electronic waste, recycling of packaging material, customs, extra warranty (higher risk), … I’m pretty sure it’s not a complete list. So, they might earn more money, but not 35% more.

        2. Actually, you might find it does … but anyway, OP, write a letter to your reseller requesting an appropriate adjustment. It will bring a smile to someones face 🙂

          1. Don’t even need to write anyone… Just wait a couple of weeks, maybe 2-3 months, until market adjusts. :o)

          2. Hé hé hé… not even that… just a couple of days and already things are looking up: the lens is now priced at 842 euros at DigitalLand and 849 euros at OneStop Digital… We’re on the right track.

So, now, was I right, or… was I right? ;o)))

            (Remember for next time…)

  3. My photo dealer just called to say my 56mm f1.2 has arrived and will be shipped overnight to me today! I am in the USA so it’s happening here now too. I pre-ordered the first day they were announced and was first on his order list. Hope that helps to give those who are still waiting in the USA some idea of when they might expect to receive their lens.

    1. Got it! Love it! It is worth every penny! Looks good/proportional on the X-T1 and is not as large or heavy as the reviews had me expecting it to be. Photo attached is SOOC -Jpeg, f/1.2, 140. ISO 400. Focus point was on the side of the glass vase near the top.

  4. It’s not just Hans Keuzekamp who’s out of stock. Both wexDE and wexUK are also sold out at the moment.

  5. i pre-ordered the 56 within split seconds of it being avail at b&h – 9pm pst. haven’t received any notification, yet.

no notification of xt1 from henry’s yet. just a response that they won’t be getting them in no earlier than 15 march.

ordered second xt1 from pictureline, yesterday. however, no notification of it even being shipped, yet. and that’s with expedited shipping.

      1. seems my contacting pictureline, yesterday, reminded them that my order was just sitting there and that they still needed to ship it. they finally did, but ground shipping, when i paid for two day air. lol

  6. If I remember right, the 10-24 and rumored, announced, tested, ahead of the 56mm.
I honestly hoped that the 10-24 lens would be available first. I hope Fuji would keep their promise and ship it no later than the end of the month. Thanks Fuji.

  7. I have 2 body only and 1 kit in my store right now for anyone that wants to order it. You have to email me at: branden.hughes@nfm.com and leave me your phone number and I will call you to place the order over the phone.

  8. B&H does not appear to have the 56mm in stock and ready to ship, when I click your link, it says it is ‘available for pre-order’, not ‘in stock’ as you image shows.

    1. That’s the screen you get if you’ve preordered and your lens is being shipped out…not that there are available lenses to buy right now. Those of us who placed orders 2 months ago are getting out lenses now.

    1. Since there are few comments from people who did not prefer the 56, I think that I may not be the only one interested, so if you want to tell us what your opinion/impression/feeling of the lens is I would appreciate that.

  9. In the UK Ffordes are showing both the 56 and the 10-24 in stock. (ffordes.co.uk)
I’m not interested in either (too heavy), but it may be an opportunity for someone to pick up both.

  10. XT-1: I have 2 body only and 1 kit in my store right now for anyone that wants to order it. You have to email me at: branden.hughes@nfm.com and leave me your phone number and I will call you to place the order over the phone.

  11. I picked up mine last Monday at Kamera Express (Netherlands), but they seem out of stock now. IQ is amazing (cropped, SooC).

    1. What am I missing here? These are severely underexposed and IMO not exactly an indication of amazing IQ.

      1. Hi Roy, the pics were taken at noon in bright sunlight, so I spot metered them. I like how they turned out, but to each his own. Maybe you like these two better.

        1. If you spot metered them on the swan but didn’t apply any exposure compensation, then that would explain why the results are underexposed as the camera would want to bring the white feathers back to 18% grey.

If you get a chance to try again, then do the same, but dial in +1.5 to +2 stops of exposure compensation and your results should be much better.

  12. X-T1 + XF56 F1.2 + vertical grip… it’s hard to resist not to own this combo!

    Top: ISO 400, 1/125, f/2
    Bottom: ISO 400, 1/125, f/1.2

  13. Hi, I wanted to share that I just received email notification from Amazon US that my X-T1 Vertical Grip has just shipped. I placed my pre-order for the vert grip on the first day.

I also placed my pre-order on Amazon US for the 56 1.2 on the first day, but have not received any update.
