As you already know since a couple of days, Fujifilm will announce the 18-135 this Monday, the 16th of June. It will happen at 6 AM London time (7 AM in Rome / 1 AM in New York). Be ready for a live blogging session here on Fujirumors. Wherever in the world-wide web there is something interesting and worth to share about this lens, I’ll put the link here on Fujirumors.
BUT…
you don’t have to look that far to find out more about this lens. In fact X-guru Rico Pfirstinger just told me that he is preparing a first look to “new X-gear” (It’s probably the weather sealed 18-135mm, but as Rico simply said new gear, I can’t be 100% sure). So do not miss this First Look coming on Monday at 1 AM EDT here on Fujirumors.
Monday is also the day where you can choose to support Fujirumors. In fact, if you decide to pre-order the 18-135 clicking in one of the shoplinks (BHphoto/Amazon/Adorama & CO) I’ll share on this blog, FR will get a small commission from stores. It won’t cost you a single penny more on your gear and at the same time it will allow me to pay the site costs, keep this blog running and the rumors spreading.
A must for every X-E2 shooter (and not only ;-))

Can’t be just a single lens. X30?/X100?/X-T? ???
Yep. They did it with other single lenses. But I expect a surprise firmware update based on what Rico said with the last firmware update. Probably lens firmware update.
Nah, the 18-135 is sure to have many elements. 🙂
I’m a lot more interested in the 50-140 myself. Once this is out of the pipeline we can hopefully start finding out more about it!
I am looking forward to find out more about the 16-55/2.8 and the 16/1.4. 🙂
I hope that 16/1.4 is real
It’s none of the above. It’s going to be the X-Pro2
X-Pro2, X-Pro-2, X-Pro2……hope it will have an impact on the Admin for sharing some rumors/specs he is already having about the X-Pro2…..;)
My comment was tongue-in-cheek. I was hoping to goad a few people into making wild speculative comments.
Shame the book is not a Hard copy
ebooks are great. i am slowly weaning off of paper books. The great thing about an ebook like this is you can access it on your phone and use it as a references in the field.
Realistic to expect the x100s firmware update tomorrow? Really looking forward to seeing if it really adds some serious value
Please make the announcement time in the time zone where it is announced, ie Tokyo. No manufacturer is going to announce something at 1AM or 6AM. Thanks.
About 2:00pm Tokyo time which is roughly my time zone (Australia – actually we are 30min ahead of Tokyo time in central Australia). I look forward to hearing the news. Any rumours of an improved flash system?
maybe we will get a firmware update.
There must be more than just the 18-135mm being announced on June 16th, as it is merely a boring zoom lens that is weather-sealed. Even if I had the X-T1, I wouldn’t even be considering it.
Hopefully there is a new firmware update to be released, which will give us the ability to convert the raw files to 16-bit TIFF in-camera, as that is the most important update that needs to be addressed. Hopefully Fuji isn’t still still sleeping on that, neglecting the full potential of X-Trans files.
Why would you like to convert your raw files to a TIFF file in-camera?
To avoid the current issues with RAW file demoasaicing and popular RAW conversion programs
Because the in-camera raw converter produces the best results for X-Trans files, but is limited to saving to lossy Jpegs.
This is titled New X Gear so I expect more than one lens and a firmware update is on the cards. Would not be surprised if its the X-T1 update.
