If you have read for example Rico’s X-M1 vs X-A1 shootout here and here or the riflessifotografici first look at the X-A1 here you’ll agree that the X-M1 with X-Trans sensor is the better camera in terms of image quality compared to the X-A1. But is it also the better deal?
Well, if the price is the reason that kept you from choosing the X-M1 over the X-A1, check out the latest AmazonUS deal on the X-M1! You save $72 on the stylish brown version or save $30 on the black one!
Now the gap between the X-A1 and the (brown) X-M1 is of $128. This is definitely a good move to make the X-M1 more attractive as Fuji X-series entry-level camera. Do you wanna switch the the X-Trans X-series (and also finally enjoy the amazing [shoplink 17602]Fujinon lenses[/shoplink])? Then check this deal out here.

Everyone saw this coming.
If you ask the majority of people who voted for X-trans, “why?”, the answer will be “’cause”. I put a lot more trust into the opinion of people who voted for X-A1, cause they sure as heck fire know and see something for real. An average user these days simply assumes that newer “technology” is better, end of story. And that’s pretty, pretty, pretty said.
I wonder if the votes would have been different if it were posted at Canon or Sony Rumors…
a poll is a very democratic tool for FR-readers to express their opinion. And I’m sure that the daily HUGE amount of SAR/43rumors/canonwatch/mirrorlessrumors readers, who stop by this blog, also voted the poll after reading the reviews and analyzing the images. And I don’t know why sonyalpharumors should make a poll about a X-A1 and X-M1 comparison. We are comparing the RAW and JPEG’s of 2 Fuji cameras, the X-A1 (with Bayer sensor) and the X-M1 (with X-Trans sensor). That’s the story here.
Is this the calm before the release storm?
Amazon also has the black X-M1 body on sale (or did earlier today, anyway).
