Very tempting price. Sad that I sold off all Fuji gear. I probably would come back to it later, but that’s going to be another one year or two.
Nobody cares. It’s an overpriced lens.
Its current price is about the same with original price with XF56. I consider this a good timing for anyone who wants APD.
I rented this lens (the XF56 APD) this last weekend and shot with it. Did a lot of shots at f/1.2 and f/2. In looking at the bokeh and sharpness I think it’s decent, but not the OMG magic that so many people have gone starry eyed over. I think I’ll save my money and get the non-APD version.
And for the shooting I was doing I was finding the 56 was almost too narrow for me (I kept discovering I needed to back up after deciding on a shot) so I suppose the 90 is totally out for me then…
I, too, sold of my 85mm full frame lens and get a 70-200mm afterwards mainly using 100-200mm range. But 85mm is supposed to be a lightweight package for carry around.
Agreed 56f/1.2 also too narrow for me.

I got one. This was just too good of a deal to pass up on. Now that I’ve gotten used to the oh so creamy bokeh of the 90/2, I knew being satisfied with the regular 56/1.2 was going to be hard.
When you have the chance to compare the bokeh of both lenses, please share your opinion with us here. 🙂
I just checked the top 100 lens sales on Amazon (Please do it too) and the first time a Fuji lens appears there is on place 95!
It’s also the only lens there.
Fuji Digital Camera and Lens sales are really hitting the floor. I guess it’s only a matter of time now until someone there turns off the light.
…sooo why do they so desperately want to get rid of all these lenses…
