He really knows his job! Max just shared his XF23mm review at riflessifotografici. Will he say WOW again? Read it here (English version).

“There are lenses that give you the answer as soon as you attach them to your camera giving you the confidence that many satisfactions will come with them. This is what happened (for me, of course) with the Nikkor 85mm F1.4D and the 35mm F1.4G, the Leica Summicron 35mm pre-asph and the Zeiss Sonnar 35mm F2 of the [shoplink 14322]RX1[/shoplink].

You look through the viewfinder, shoot, look at your picture and just say…WOW!

[XF23mm] the lens is sharp even wide open, it has a great flare resistance and it’s unbelievably corrected against distortion.

    1. Hey studioleica, why did u say yesterday that the 56 1.2 has been postponed to March, do u know something more than fujirumors? Enjoy the 23mm.

      1. Hi afragisk & Fujimoto I order my XE2 the 23 and pre order the 56mm f1.2 from Manchester
.From fuji uk has just got back to {Steve} and he say’s the 56mm lens has
        been put back to maybe March. This is my information from {Steve}
If i find out more i email the info here.

        1. When i have the extra money i am spent for the X 100s even if i have the 27mm f1.4 and the rest of the lenses, because off the left shutter the IQ of the camera and the shutter is so quiet Have nice wekend

    1. Isn’t “real lens” a designation reserved only for lenses suitable for “real cameras”? aka 4×5 or bigger/heavier?

  1. Hello: I cancelled my order for the 23mm and got the 14mm instead. I got the 14mm
a few day ago and boy did I make the correct choice. I am not a big 35mm FF fan. I have
the 18mm-55mm which covers the same field of view and with all the good ISO speed you do not
need a 1.4 23MM lens. If you want low light and DOF play get the 35MM 1.4. for a lot less money

      1. It comes down to personal preferences, I suppose.
The 35/1.4 is really, really good. The 14/2.8 is excellent. The 23 is exceptional.

I actually like the 35mm (equiv) field of view so the Fuji 23/1.4 is a very attractive focal length for me. I hear what you say about it being “boring” but I find it to be a great standard lens – not too wide, not too tight.

That said, it couldn’t be my only lens and I certainly couldn’t get along without the others. It’s a good thing that they are all of such high quality – I don’t feel as though I’m sacrificing any image quality when I chose one over the other.

    1. Hi Leocat .I have the 14mm and 35mm .I shoot on studio with the 35 with continuous light and i am more than happy.
I am pro wedding photographer I am with Nikon 27 years
I sold my Xe1 and i expect tomorrow my XE 2 i hope af is faster
      My xf lenses are 14mm f2.8 ,35mm f1.4 18-55 and now 27mm 1.4 and when times come the 56mm f1.2 .
      I trust fuji remember S1,S2.S3,S5.
One camera for wedding is Nikon DX3 with flash and XE2 for low light best combination

      1. Hello: Studioleica
I have been shooting Nikons since the Nikkormate Days. I have a D800 and a D5100
and too many lenses. But the Fuji X-E1 is how the camera I use all the time.
I can leave the house put a lens on the camera and one in my pocket and I am good
for the day. The only thing I use the D800 with my 80-400 d lens is go bird hunting.
I am trying to decide if I want to by the E-E2 or wait for the X Pro 2
