Shipped: first bunch of XF 23mm lenses on the way! (AmazonUS)

 photo 81gAdD1VWBL_SL1500__zps5a98723e.jpg

AmazonUS is shipping the first XF 23mm lenses. Those who acted fast (as FR-reader Roger) and pre-ordered it right after its announcement back in Semptember should not miss the postman tomorrow. Roger sent me a screenshot with the good news from AmazonUS. He’ll receive the brand new Fujinon lens tomorrow.

  1. It is a great lens. Yesterday I picked up from the Israeli dealer. It’s sharp, very sharp, fast focus. It is expensive lens but worth it.

  2. Had a chance to play with the X-E2 and 23mm f/1.4 combo at the PhotoPlus Expo and all I have to say is that those who have pre-ordered or are purchasing the lens (or camera, or both) will not be disappointed!

  3. My B&H order just changed status to “in stock, order sent to warehouse”… I am assuming I should get the shipment notice this evening and should have my copy soon! I will let you all know if I get another update. I ordered the day it became available at B&H.

  4. I’m bummed. Ordered my 23mm from Amazon on the 5th of September. I’ve gotten nothing from them. I don’t think I will use them for preorders anymore….

  5. I ordered from amazon as soon as the link went live …and still says “We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We’ll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.”

  6. I purchased mine closer to the end of the day of the announcement on November 4. Still no mail concerning shipment. I’ll update the comment when I get word. Looks like a lot of people jumped on that preorder that day.

Wonder what the XE-2 shipments will be like via Amazon.

  7. Ordered mine from B&H on September 9 for $850 (before they changed the price) and they just shipped it today. I stop ordering from Amazon when they start charging tax and yes, they are always late on getting their stuff.

  8. I ordered within four hours of the pre order link being active. Amazon now tells me that there were thousands of orders in front of mine. Seriously, some customer service rep sent me that note. I mean Fuji sells a lot of lenses but thousands ordered from amazon about 3 hrs and 58 mins before me?

When the 56mm is announced guess where my pre order will NOT be entered?

  9. Did anyone who pre-ordered from Adorama get theirs shipped yet?

I ordered pretty much the minute it was available from them and i haven’t received anything yet….

    1. Ordered on the 5th of September

Adorama Finally decided to ship last night……
They must be a bit slower than the other dealers.
      I think i’ll pre-order from a different company next time @__@

  10. The lens arrived on schedule yesterday morning and will get some use today – a beautiful fall day in Central Oregon. The Amazon packing was completely inadequate as in the past. It is hard to believe that they toss the Fuji box with expensive camera or lens into a larger box and put on just one bubble allowing the smaller box to move around. The outer box was hardly higher than the fuji box allowing no protection on two sides. Amazon seems not to listen to complaints on their care in packing. Anyway, the lens survived the short trip from California.
