NEW XF 90mmF2 & XF 16mmF1.4
FujiXworld published a new image of the XF90mmF2… no markings on the lens, but we know from Fuji Guy Greg himself that it is going to be weather sealed. And as Markus noticed “it appears Fuji has greatly reduced the diameter of this lens compared to what was shown at the Photokina.”.
They also show a new image of the XF 16mmF1.4, and this time we can clearly read the “WR”& Nano GI coating markings 🙂

NEW ROADMAP
Just 2 days ago, Fujifilm published a new roadmap. But there was a bit of confusion, because Fujifilm ordered the lenses from left to right according to their focal length, and not their estimated release time… making the time indication much more vague.
Well, now in the roadmap at the bottom of this post, you can see the lenses ordered more clearly, this means with the horizontal position showing the release time.
So we can see that:
– XF 16mmF1.4 & XF 90mmF2 should come in the first half of 2015
– XF 35mmF2 somewhere around next fall (right in time for the X-PRO2??)
– XF 100-400 early 2016
– XF 120mmF2.8 1:1 Macro around spring 2016

Another prime lens, another filter size! The 90mm looks like a very early mockup with no lens marking and an unmarked aperture ring. It’s a shame the images are so low key you can’t make out if the 16mm has the clutch AF/MF mechanism.
The 16mm was shown with the focus clutch at Photokina. Of course the 90mm at Photokina was shown as a much larger mockup than the newly shown one. It seems they took the ‘wow that’s huge’ remarks to heart and worked on slimming it down. With projected release in the first half of 2015, they’re probably pretty close to the final design.
Yeah, that new 90mm looks much more manageable than the weirdly fat version we’d seen previously. Looks about the size of the 60mm macro, but a bit longer.
Maybe there is another secret in the lens design that the markings on the lens or the aperture ring would give away.
1.8 😉
Seems like a lot of new lenses are WR but not IS.
Is this evidence that upcoming Fuji bodies will have WR and IBIS?
Short fast primes won’t have OIS
It would be nice if Fuji came out with a fixed and somewhat fast 8mm, 9mm or 10mm super wide in a compact size with adjustable controls. The lens must have both focus and aperture controls and a distance scale for zone focus work.
Better still make it ‘old school’ with a manual focus ring and not AF. Fuji AF wont focus in the dark. ‘Focus by wire’ is a bad joke.

You cannot use the 10-24mm to get fast candid shots like this. (Both shot with a X-E1)
I like the way the X-Pro in the images has fingerprint marks all over it.
What is the camera from the “Bright Stars” picture?
XPro 1 Silver edition? XPro2?
I think they release the 35mm f2 lens together with the launch of the X-Pro2. Which then will probably also be weather sealed.
I hope the ETA on the 35mm is correct! I have been meaning to get the current 35mm for quite a while now, but the funds always seem to be diverted to other things … now I know why!
I also wonder if that teleconverter will work with the 55-200mm lens? If so, yippeee!!!
