XF lens deals coming tomorrow: discount on some XF lenses : : XF 27mm will drop from $449 to $299!

 photo sunday_zps93427394.jpg

Ok, it’s not the absolutely insane $250 price drop of last winter, when even EU-residents bought the 27 (and other XF lenses) in USA, payed taxes and shipping, and still saved a lot of money on it. But this one is a great deal too. In fact, according to information I’ve received, there will be a $150 price drop on the XF 27mm lens starting tomorrow (until September 6).

The 27mm won’t be the only lens in offer. Also the 60mm will be $100 off. The XF 18-55 and 55-200 are already $100 off in stores like BHphoto and AmazonUS.

And if there are some EU-residents who order the XF 27mm again from the States, let me know how much you’ve payed for it.

Remember that, if you’re interested to buy one of these lenses in offer, if you choose to do it using one of the shoplinks I’ll share here on FR, you’ll support this blog. Not a single penny extra costs for you, but a small comission is valued back to Fujirumors. That will help me to keep this site running. Thanks in advance to those who decide to support Fujirumors.

  1. Not a big deal, but I have noticed on this article and previous ones that you keep mentioning “EU-citizens” paying duty and high delivery fees. I think what you really mean is “EU residents”. Citizenship has nothing to do with whether you pay expensive shipping and import duties when ordering from the US and I am sure amongst your reader are many EU citizens living in the US and many non EU citizen living in Europe and ordering from the US.

  2. “The XF 18-55 and 55-200 are already $100 in stores like BHphoto and AmazonUS.”

Not to be picky, but those lenses aren’t “$100”; they’re “$100 off”. 😉

  3. Bought the 27mm from Adorama in March with the $250 discount. With shipping to Norway, I got it for $252,35.

Plus the 25% additional taxes i Norway, the price upped to $315,45. The administration-fee is about $35. So the total price i payed was about $350.

The normal price in Norway is about 3700 NOK. which then was (and still is) about $590 ($1 is about 6,25 NOK).

Even this sundays $150 drop will give Norwegians, and, i guess, mostly western European countries good savings, compared to the lens normal price. Though Norway is known for its huge taxes, so I guess we (and the other scandinavian countries) will get the most savings.

  4. I think this lens is a must buy. Combined with my e x2, it’s lighter than the x100s and even with an nd filter and lens cap it still fits into (a large) pants pocket. It’s not the sharpest of my fujinon collection–that would be the 56mm–but it’s definitely one of my favorites; maybe my most favorite. Many of my best selling photos have come from this lens, simply because it’s always with me and delivers good enough sharpness, very pleasing color and contrast, weighs almost nothing, takes up fractional space, and has an ideal focal length (pretty much what my eye sees). It’s a great all-rounder. Yes, it could be better. I’m still hoping that Fuji will turn out a similar pancake lens that’s equivalent to one of the Summicrons…they clearly have the ability, and I’d happily pay the extra dollars to have it manufactured under their specs in Japan.
