thanks for the support! much appreciated
Well, the angry guy certainly is angry. I really can’t stand to listen to him. I can complain now and then, but good grief…
From adrianarmirail: “One example is the shutter release button of the Sony A7. It does not have a proper half click, actually it has no half click whatsoever. ”
Curious. It wasn’t broken? Same with the later versions ?
One gripe i have with Fuji is that it does have a proper half press, but it doesn’t stay locked on after you’ve taken the shot without fully letting go of the shutter release – keep it half pressed. That way, every other camera allows you to keep shooting pictures at the same focus point without the need to refocus. It is so weird that Fuji still hasn’t fixed this. (at least not that i know of)
hi mrj
I am not sure whether the newer A7II, A7rII or A7sII do have a proper half click, but I do know that the A7 and A7r do not have it. Of course there is a half click on the software side. So when you press the shutter button “a little bit” it will react and lock focus/exposure.
What I was referring to is the omission of the tactile feedback, sorry if that was not very clear. Actually come to think of it, the Sony A99 also does not have a proper half-press tactile feedback.
I have noticed the the same thing as you mention with not staying locked. So far it has not bothered me too much. There are other minor niggles I am experiencing and I will write about those in a long term review of the X-T10.
Thanks Ad. Every brand it’s always something, and always the little things that bother me most. : )
