  1. Lenses or bodies, Fuji or Zeiss … My conclusion of the past few months is than one would have to be crazy (or not care about money) to buy Fuji X equipment for the regular list price.

    1. Or any of the others. You see the huge lens only deals and body deals on Canon and Nikon earlier this year? It’s a declining market, big price drops attracts customers. Especially for lenses that aren’t in demand or where they produced far too many.

      1. Do they worry about Photokina in Sept.? If CaNikon comes with a mirrorless camera and stacked sensor, the game might start again. Better to empty the stock before. And maybe customers are tired of buying disposable stuff for high prices after raving reviews dripping in too regularly. However, these rebates stand as a contradiction to the promoted sustainable quality of the equipment.

        1. It might also be a way to increase customers’ loyalty (for Fuji discounts at least): once you own 3-4 lenses in a particular mount, it becomes much more difficult to change brands.

      2. Yes you have a point about the declining market and all manufacturers offering deals. Having said that, it might be because I completely lost interest in SLRs a while ago but the half price drops on these Fuji lenses (the XF27 a few weeks ago and now the Zeiss bundle) is not something I have seen as much with other mirror-less lenses (might be because I follow their news a bit less, but I don’t remember this kind of deal with micro 4/3 lenses for exemple).

    2. You’re right about that…I paid full price for the X-pro1, 35mm and 23mm…..combined price was like $2700 LoL. I DEFINITELY won’t buy another Fuji product when it first comes out. I’ve only had the X-Pro1 for 2 years and you can now pick one up used for $600.

  2. Is this a rebate from Zeiss to the retailer? If so, should we expect to see this deal at other retail outlets aside from B&H and Adorama?

  3. Sadly the 32 is 1.8 not 1.4 would be an argument for the 32 Zeiss instead of Fuji XF35 prime…..

    What a bummer…;)

        1. The zeiss ist fantastically built. Oh, what a smooth aperture ring! I know, it is just a litte bit, but I really like the differtent focal length (48 versus 52,5). And I personally prefer the IQ of the zeiss due to the contrast (not better, but different) and the better sharpness (extremly sharp wide open).

      1. same here. i prefer the touit 32 over the fuji 35. sold off all my fuji x system once, including the fuji 35. the touit 32 brought me back into the system. it just feels better, focuses faster, and sharper IMO. besides, i always have issues with fuji QC of its lenses, from the loose lens hood of my 23/1.4 and 55-200, and the loose base of the 55-200 and my 2nd copy of the 18-55. i have both touits and they are more solidly built than any of my fuji x lenses.

  4. What is the source of the photo showing it runs until August? Also, does anybody know if the X cameras will auto correct vignetting and distortion when shooting in-camera jpeg like it does with the Fuji lenses?

  5. Jeez… that’s a very nice deal indeed… I can’t make my mind between this and the 10-24 f4…
I know! I know! primes vs zooms and so on, but I have a practical voice in my head saying the 10-24 is so much more convenient and that I may not see any difference for the pictures I take… I won’t sleep for days…
