    1. well, performance wise is a bit worse than rx100 III, but the design worth a bit more. I think $800-849 is reasonable.

  1. The price has actually gone up. It was $850 during the holidays, with a free Fuji flash and 4% rewards.

    1. They marketed kaizen as one of the things that made them different and set a precedent with the amazing support for the x100 – it made me decide to keep my 100s even though I had time to return it after the t was announced and also add the x-t1. I get that it was a perk, but don’t talk yourself up as a different company that supports updating older models to sell your product and then withhold an update that is already known to exist.

Don’t get me wrong, the products are great, but they fooled a bunch of folks and now they are stubbornly silent.

      1. I don’t feel they /marketed/ Kaizen; They /talked/ about it in interviews, they /showed/ it in action that’s about it.

There were also several warnings (in interviews) that they could not and would not support Kaizen for each and every body equally nor for the same length of time.

If anyone self-deluded him(her)self into thinking that Kaizen would be everytime everywhere w/o limit of time that was pushing the limits.

I understand that X100s owners could feel let down as this body is not that old but there were no promise explicit or implied.
