Kits might be not in stock in German online stores, but definitely available at certain local dealers since yesterday.
You’re right according Germany. I received my preordered Kit yesterday.
Nothing online in the webshop of my dealer.
Sweden has it in stock as well. Since it started circulating yesterday that the kit was released in UK I though I’d go down to my local dealer to preorder it as the release seemed imminent.
I can tell it was a pleasent surprise when he just walked away from me in silence only to come back a minute later with a black X-E1 kit… 🙂

Got silver kit yesterday (Sweden).
The first kits were sold on monday in Denmark.
Definitely available in store in Berlin… But when are the lenses going to be available separately. Being an early adopter of the x-pro1 I’m feeling pretty pee’d off that I can’t get my hands on the 18-55
Buy a kit and sell the camera. The kit has a $300 discount (US), so I’m sure you could sell the camera and break even if you wanted to pay full price for the lens. You might even make money.
That’s not really the answer for so many ways… Ridiculous!
Why is that idea so ridiculous (in so many ways)? You get your lens and someone gets a discounted camera.
