Good news everybody!
Rico just told me that he is preparing a First Look to a “new X-camera“. It will be ready for the 26th of August. Well, you know what is rumored to come, but Rico just said something about a “new X-camera“.
THE TIME: Fuji usually announces new gear and firmware early in the morning here in Europe. This means it should happen around midnight in New York.
There will be also a LIVE BLOGGING session on that day. I’ll collect every bit of information about the new X, that I can find on the world-wide web, which is worth to be shared and you should not miss.
But just look at the Rico’s previous First Looks (like the one on the X-T1 here) and you’ll understand why I feel save to say, that you will hardly find a better initial report than Rico’s one.
So stay tuned and follow Fujirumors also via facebook, google+, RSS-feed and twitter.
NOTE for GERMAN readers: upon request of many German X-shooters, Rico has prepared a comprehensive article about Fujifilm’s ISOless sensor in German language over at his workshop page fujixsecrets here. Make sure to check it out.

X-E3?
X-E4?
X-F1, to confuse everyone with a new line…
Don’t you mean X-F2? The XF-1 is already out there 😉 http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/x/fujifilm_xf1/
jeez, I forgot that one… shows how confusing their naming system is!
Make it an X-G1 then 😀
No, you are talkting about the XF1. X-F1 is still free. 😉
X-A9-GH5-T7D Mark IV
For me a hybrid X-T1—E-M1
X30 ?
Most likely, see his comment on the last X30 thread. I definitely won’t be X100T, X-Pro 2 or X-E3.
X100T of course 😉
X-Pro 2?
Sorry for the OT, but it would have been a much more welcome news knowing that the long awaited english version of Rico’s book on the X-E2 was finally being published! :-/
At this stage, looks like it won’t get out before summer is over, as the publisher actually advised by e-mail last July – although FujiRumors was claiming differently!
Sorry again, but that’s something I was really after, much more than any alleged new X camera!
No worries, the book will be out before the new X camera.
Would an X-T1 version be far behind? 🙂
Many thanks Rico for your reply! Now I can only hope for the release date of the new X camera (X-30?) to be around the end of September, at the latest! 😉 Thanks again!
I’m waiting for the X pro 3
It will have a sensor transplanted from the retinas of small mammals
Surely that will make my pictures better….
They excise retinas out of newborn kittens, for maximum clarity and transparency. Their fur will be used as lining for the luxurious leather case.
True organic 🙂
XS-2?
X30. Nice. But no revolutionary organic sensor to reset the entire industry? Oh well. Maybe next year… Or in the X100?
This belongs to the marketing model so many companies now have implemented. Make products a myth even before they are in the shops. Leak pictures and info. Spread pre-production models on a wide scale. Make it wanted by a big crowd, not based on facts and results but on generating the ‘I wanna be the first to own one’ kind of feeling. About Fujifilm, I don’t know. This kind of sense has nothing to do about good photography or photo and gear professionalism. Who the hell is Mr. Rico to get more insights than the rest of the world? We can only conclude that Fuji’s strategy is to convince that serious professionals converted to their system only (what I still don’t fully believe). In that wave, they hope that many amateurs will do the same. But it doesn’t impress me. Fuji will do so when they are able to release a camera that doesn’t require further FW-updates – has been engineered and designed the first time right without irritating quirks and that is perfectly supported in the market by all mainstream software manufacturers.
