Changed: Zeiss Touit 50mm available by the end of February! + save $150 on the X100S

Zeiss Touit 50mm

No, the Zeiss Touit 50mm won’t be available already next month as expected by BHphoto here. The store updated it’s product page and expects to have it available on February 27. More or less like the 56mm f/1.2 of Fuji?

Riley Joseph said via twitter: “I imagine the Zeiss lenses are filling a gap on the Sony system and they just add an X-Mount.”

X-A1

The X-A1 in black and indigo blue is in stock almost everywhere. But if you purchase it via BHphoto you’ll get an 16GB SD-card for free. Check the deal here.

X100S

Save $ 150 if you purchase the X100S through top rated eBay reseller [shoplink 18068 ebay]cameraland here.[/shoplink].

enjoy your day

  1. Oh shucks…
No big deal, the 56 f/1.2 will be coming out around then, which will likely be better. Who needs a 50mm macro anyways. I would be excited if Sigma were to design some fast prime lenses for the Fuji system, especially if they filled the gaps: 85mm or 90 mm f/2, 135mm f/2 or f/2.8, a 1:1 100mm f/2.8 macro with IS. I don’t think Zeiss will be bringing anything that interesting, as Fuji isn’t their focus

    1. It’s strange, because it isn’t some cheap conversion like with the Samyang fisheye, they add a aperture ring that the E-mount versions don’t have, and it’s actually part of the design. It’s strange that they didn’t really seem to pay much attention to what focal length Fuji users might be interested in, or not at all … as if “we’re zeiss, people will want anything we make”.

  2. Admin,

It’s really becoming hard to read your posts. Most of them are links about selling. Believe me, I DO want to support you, but let’s focus on making it more readable. It’s distracting! Thanks for all the efforts.

    1. Hi Fly Moon.

It happens especially in miXed posts like this. There is a quick update about the Zeiss availablilty and 2 deals. I wanted to put them all together in a single article and not bother you with multiple posts. Sorry if that results a bit distracting.

      thanks for your feedback

  3. 50mm 2.8 Zeiss macro..vs Fuji 60mm 2.2 macro

I don’t underestand …the reasons to buy (an expensive) zeiss..instead a (cheap) fuji

    IQ +/- (=)
    Sharp +/- (=)

    can I help me?

    1. Zeiss just thinks that anything they make is always better than anything else. But like has been said many times now. The reason to buy is if you have a Sony NEX, not a Fuji.

      *Sony has a 30mm F3.5 Macro only.
