Great. Looking forward to getting mine tomorrow.
I have a few Nikon TTL flashes, but I always find myself using them in manual mode anyway since instead of changing flash compensation all the time, I might as well change flash power directly and get some consistency at the same time. I’m currently primarily using the Yonguo YN-560 III system with the controller that even allows me to control the zoom and stroboscopic mode remotely, everything in six groups, all this for a fraction of the price for this flash.
So I’m really curious why this is such a hot topic for so many people – isn’t TTL just like P mode for flashes? Where once you exercise the necessary control you might as well go manual and save a lot of money at the same time?
Its a bid deal since fuji only have one huge ttl flash with rotating head. And this little flash will be awesome on the x100 bodies.
it is $100 over the price of the EF 42 ( which I have for my X-E1 and X-T1), and I don’t really think (in my opinion) that it is worth the extra $100…..anyways, for manual flash, I use the Adorama Rovelight 600. For me, the Fuji EF-42 is more than adequate
I’m interested from the perspective that I use on-camera flash with TTL when shooting events. I’d be interested in this if it has better build quality and recycle time than the EF-42. For manual flash I’ve been using the LumoPro LP-180’s which are awesome at all levels. The build quality is superior to the Canon 580 ex ii’s I was using before the switch to Fuji.
