AmazonUS: “Fujifilm Instax Film is Best Selling Photo Product of this Holiday Season!”

AmazonUS says it lound and clear: The best selling Photo Prouct of this Holiday Season is the Fujfilm Instax Film!

And believe it or not, this kind of news is very important also for the X-series, because the terrific earnings Fujfilm makes with Instax Cameras are fueling the development costs of the X cameras!

That’s why Fuji keeps up releasing new Instax models, from the brand new Selfie Instax Mini 70 to the Instax Wide 300 and the Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic, or even the Instax Mini “Hello Kitty”. And of course the Instax SHARE Smartphone Printer SP-1.

Let’s see if in 2016 also the X-series (with the X-Pro2 and X-T2) can contribute to make some nice profits for Fuji’s imaging division.

  1. I am waiting for an instax wide camera which can give me control of exposure, focus and flash, for me, the instax wide 300 was a missed opportunity. Cheers, Jon

  2. This is outragous. There are people on the internet saying that the instax 800 iso film doesn’t have as much DR as new55 film.

I demand that fuji upgrade the product!

  3. I bet Fuji would see a huge sales increase if they offered:

    a) an Instax Wide printer
    b) a nice discount for large quantities (100 for 50$, 1000 for 400$ for the Mini). Wedding photographers would buy it like crazy.

  4. Following this link there’s an even better deal for INSTAX film, 60 shots for $41. That’s as good a price for this film as you’ll get.

    I ordered 120 shots.

  5. I am so tempted to buy one of these cameras. I know the quality isn’t great and financially it’s a silly idea but they look so much fun.

  6. This used to be known in marketing as the “Gilette theory.” Sell the razor cheap, then make a ton of money selling the customer blades over and over. The fact that Fuji has a legally-sanctioned monopoly on this product category doesn’t hurt either…
