Would love those prices in europe.
I hope they make it happend so I can get a x-pro1 for the summer vacation. Thanks for a nice site, just found it and I have found so much useful stuff already.
Hej Bjorn,
We’ve had those prices in Italy since January, I got an XP1 body for €630, and X100 and XE1 cameras were selling for under 600 euros, but now the shops have probably all sold out, and they said they were not going to replace those models…. prices crashed just before the X100s was launched. The shops were very clear when they said they would not replace those models, as they would be replaced this year.

Hi Patrick,
I’m buying in but can’t figure out where the $1,300 savings comes from as I can only get to $1,200. Is there an additional bonus listed somewhere that I can’t find? BTW, love your blog. Thanks, Jeff
At BH you save, if you buy toghether with the X-E1/X-PRO1 all the following lenses, 1300 – XF 18-55mm + 60mm + 18mm + 35mm + 14mm (I’ve posted a screenshot now)… and thanks, I’m happy that you appreciate FR 🙂
Admin, do you know if these lens deals are available in Canada? I see the X-E1 kit for $1150 to $1199, but nothing onthe lenses when purchased with a body thus far.
Don’t know about Canada. Till now seems that only Adorama and BH have the lens deals. AmazonUS has deals on the bodies or with 18-55 lens, but no other lenses… maybe you can check dealsrunner to see if there are other deals (or submit deals if you find them)
no lens deals in Canada, you have to order from BH and pay regular Canadian Tax+shipping,no duty for cameras.
And no warranty either from Fujifilm Canada.
I’m thinking shops like Aden Camera in Toronto and some of the Montreal stores will likely cut prices close or equal to the US sale offers.
I really hope so! The bummer about Aden is that they inconsistently apply a shipping charge (sometimes it’s free, sometimes not), so I’m hoping an Alberta store will step up to the plate. I just bought a X-e1 and would love to buy a 35 f1.4 lens to go along with the 18-55.
Brian, all the TO stores–Aden, Henry’s, Vistek–will price-match. Whether they’ll try to get close to the US deals is anyone’s guess but I’d ask sweetly and see where they go. Henry’s will usually do free shipping in Canada over a fairly low $ value. Same goes for some of the Montreal shops. Keep an eye on photoprice.ca, too.
