43rumors spotted a Tweet unveileing that another company will join the Micro Four Thirds system soon.

And Egami spotted a patent showing a new Tamron 28-320mm f/3.5-6.3 Full Frame E-mount lens design. Sounds very likely that Tamron will finally make FE lenses for Sony!

  1. Indeed, the secret behind Tamron is that she OEM the lenses for Sony. It is not the first time that Tamron made lenses for Sony. You may find that the spec of Tamron 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC(B011) is identical to Sony SEL18200LE E 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 OSS LE. They just set an agreement that Sony has the right to release the lens prior to Tamron. If you look backwards, a lot of Alpha lenses from Sony (not copy from Minolta) were also made by Tamron. Sony also owns some share of Tamron, but Sony seems gain not much benefit from the lenses design.

  2. Great, Tamron give us the SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD as e-mount!!!! Or as SEL ….. and a high end 24-70/2.8 with 70-200/2.8 as e-mount as well…..
