Leica X camera gets registered in Korean Agency Database.

Digicameinfo spotted a link to the korean agency who just registered the new “Leica X” camera! There is no info about specs but at least now we know the name of the camera!

Note: The Korean Agency registers all devices with Wifi. They need to be approved by the Korean Authority to be sold in Korean Stores.

  1. “X” is selling really well: Fuji X, Samsung NX, Sony NEX… and now Leica X. It´s time to sell another letter, maybe “Z”. I think Leica is wrong naming this camera “Leica X”, as people will no doubt compare with Fuji X and this comparison will be not very favourable for the German brand.

    1. Leica already have the fixed-lens X1, X2 and X Vario. This is obviously an ILC version of that series, hence the name.

      1. < This is obviously an ILC version of that series Rather the successor to Leica X2, announced on May 10th, 2012.

      2. You are right. Too much “X” indeed. I much doubt Leica want to make an extraordinary camera now, but something like X Vario in mirrorless version. Not enough to make that “X” to shine.
