  1. What is this kistar reviewer talking about? Light gathering capacity fantastic even at f4? It is like, T1.4 at f4?

    1. Light gathering capacity has obviously nothing to do with mirrorless or not mirrorless. But who cares in a marketing speech?

      1. No, no, not the video. Inthe link below, in the review of kistar 55 f1.2 lens. Guy said its light gathering is great at f4… Speechless.

        1. “Even stopped down to f/4, the light gathering capacity of this lens is phenomenal.”

          This is indeed a mystery.

        2. Maybe the f Numbers on the lens are wrong – this happens from time to time (when I remember right Samyang 100mm Macro)

          1. That could be the reason. Still, for someone who lives of reviewing the lenses, such a mistake is, well, stupid.

  2. Seriously, who has got almost 2 hours to sit through that ‘discussion’?

I’d love someone to explain to me who it is for and what it is trying to achieve, other than a badly conceived sales drive.

  3. “… MPS Digital Photography and Sony present department chair Katrin Eismann, Sony Alpha product manager Kenta Honjo … in a panel discussion …”

That seems to be a h*ll of a scientific panel discussion. LMFAO

  4. The talks are really weird and incoherent. Ben Lowy, professional photographer with 20 years of experience, says on a mirrorless you see the moment you’re capturing as opposed to DSLR (even a DSLR in live view). What? Even with silent shutter on the 7’s there’s a pause.

  5. the outdoor guy that sold all his canongear because the sony gear is much lighter? both system are ff and only the sony body is lighter then dslr canon. lenses with same aperture are not lighter just because they are native mirrorless lenses. i bet the weight diffrence between canon 1dx with 10 lenses is under 10% compared to a7r with 10 lenses with equal focal/aperture. this is why i dont get all this “its smaller and lighter” hype. i myself shoot fuji and when i compare my xe-2 / 18-55 its the same weight then a D5500 with 18-55. there is no diffrence just because the system is mirrorless

  6. Keep drinking that Koolaid. So much yakiti yak about nothing. It’s a freaking camera minus some bulge. That is it. No revolution, nothing to see here folks. Moving on.
