We now have the next mirrorless related announcement. Sony now unveiled the fifth new NEX camcorder, the NEX-EA50. And it comes along a new 18-200mm Power zoom lens. This is the third version of the 18-200mm lens 🙂

it isn’t ‘basically a fs100’ at all.
Sony is good for this. One of their products become popular, SLAP the same name on some next product, Walkman, Playstation and now NEX.
Enjoy it while y’all still can.. Sony will milk it.
-Not saying the camcorder sucks, mind you.
Basically, it’s a shoulder mount NEX20 with XLRs and imaging customization. Basically, it’s what was lacking from the VG20, with a bonus shoulder mount.
The image quality won’t compare with the amazing low light of the FS100, and it will still require educating videographers as to why they MUST buy ND filters or a Vari-ND.
Expect event shooters to buy these by the truckload. I just hope they don’t go outside during the day. Or by a window.
