[UDPATE: X-T10 coming May 18! Check out the updated rumor here]

Mr. 100% hit rate (the Top Trusted Japanese Source) said that the X-T10 will come in Mid-May (which confimrs rumors shared at Mirrorlessrumors). I hear the same release date from an anonymous source (with nick-name, thanks), which adds that it will have a great AF-performance.

It seems that the long X-T10 rumor story is going to end soon. And if you appreciated months of rumors about the X-T10 and it’s the camera you’ve waited for, feel free to grab it via the affiliate links (BHphoto, AmazonUS and Adorama) I’ll share here on the pre-order day.

It would be a greatly appreciated support for my daily work here on FR and a big help to cover the costs of this blog and keep it running 365 days a year for free. Thanks!

So, a new firmware for the X-T1 and a new camera called X-T10… all coming Mid-May… you should definitely stay tuned on FR in the next weeks,
facebook, google+, RSS-feed and twitter

Here is the rumored specs list (TS = Trusted Source / SRP = source right in the past / NeS = New Source)

– Name: X-T10 (SRP + NeS)
– cheaper version of the X-T1 (SPR + NeS)

  1. No doubt the improved autofocus system will be the same as that in the proposed firmware update for the x-t1. If the xt-10 had better AF than the x-t1 then it could hurt sales.

  2. Great news. I’m wondering what a mighty tiny the X-T10 will be. Is it an X-T1 on a budget or does it look cool?

    1. Possibly. I can see Fuji sticking with (in the future) X-Pro and X100esque bodies for the rangfinder format and X-T and X-Tx bodies for the dslr format. If they would start to simplify their model types it would help:

      Rangefinder:
      X-Pro
      X-100

      DSLR-ish:
      X-Tx
      X-Txx

      Consumer:
      X-Ax
      X30

6 models, a high end and low end for each, each has something very distinctive, consumers have choices or even the choice of more than one.

      1. 5 out of 6 models with distinctive 16MP sensors? the sensor that Pentax, sony and nikon have moved on from…

        1. I’m talking model lines and form factors, not the specific sensors. Although honestly there is not that much difference in their sensor from current ones. Most gains are in the image pipeline. I left the megapixel race years ago. I would rather the next sensor be 16mp with pipeline enhancements than 24mp for 24mp sake.

        2. Yes. The new “better” Pentax (K3) had worse Dynamic range and the low light performance was equal at best.

The new “better” Nikon (D7100) had banding issues with it’s Toshiba sensor and no significant improvements in other areas.

So Pentax and Nikon made worst cameras (sensor wise) just to stay ahead in the Megapixel war.

          Way to go….
