Three days only before the new Sony NEX-5R announcement and multiple stores are now selling the NEX-5N with a nice $100 discount at Amazon (Click here). Same price drop on the Body only (Click here) and on the Silver kit (Click here).
The NEX-5R will very likely be priced at $699 (with kit lens) and compared to the current NEX-5N it will have a faster AF, Wifi and APP support. Coming on Wednesday. The NEX-6 will be announced in September while I don’t know when Sony will announce the new NEX lenses.
P.S.: Amazon camera ranking here.

I would have bought it but for Nex-6. I don’t need one before Christmas.
100$ is a sweet discount. The 5N already a great camera !!. It’s now cheaper than the RX100. I will wait till end of Aug to decide !!.
admin, could you check your sources if the new NEXes will have GPS?
Looking forward to the 5R very much: Will it come with the new pancake zoom as kit lens? Will the 5N’s video overheating problem be solved? Will WiFi allow complete remote access including screen mirroring? And will there be a WHITE 50p version in Europe?
I am very much tempted to get a 2nd NEX-5N but the NEX-5R having a better sensor and wireless connectivity is tempering the temptation. =)
Just ordered a backup body 😀
Great deal! I wonder if and when the German Amazon Site will lower the Nex-5n prizes.
