Sony RX100 rules in US. Canon NEX competitor coming…

We haven’t seen that with any other Sony camera before. The RX100 rules the Amazon US sales ranking (Click here) and beats any other digital mirrorless, compact or DSLR camera. You don’t see very often a Sony camera beating a Nikon or Canon 🙂

Speaking of Canon. They will launch a mirrorless system camera and NEX competitor this Monday. Pictures can be seen at MirrorlessRumors.com. I am still not sure if it will use an APS-C sensor. It looks smaller than any NEX camera…

  1. According to most recent pictures – it uses notably smaller sensor then APS-C.
    That’s why camera is smaller.
But unlike Nikon’s crap system – this one has a potential to use APS-C sensors as well if you look up closely.

  2. I’ve got admit I’d counted on Canon to offer a full frame mirrorless system. That’s quite a gap on the market and an established lens manufacturer like Canon would get the most advantage out of doing something similar to what Sony did with their LA-EA1 & LA-EA2 adapters. If Canon will only offer APS-C or even less a NEX probably with Metabones’ and other Adapters might be the better solution to ultimate freedom of lens choice – at least for me…
