    1. Thank you for the input. One thing I am not sure is how would Fuji respond to across border warranty claims. I know Sony is not happy with this type of things.

        1. That’s definitely fine. I am in US. So if I have to mail it to canada for any warranty claims… It is going to be painful because of Canadian import tax. I have a friend in Canada and he told me there were a couple of Sony store were offering close-out sales. The warranty thing eventually stopped me from buying.

      1. 6Ave generally sells grey market items (ie non-US market items) though this is not advertised. Fuji won’t honor a grey market warranty either

          1. Yes this is true, and I am not trying to malign the company. I can only relate my experience. I bought an X100S for a discounted price. It arrived, but was a Middle East version. This was not in the Ebay listing. I asked for a return and they offered one no questions asked. They also told me that the warranty was one THEY offered, not the manufacturer. I assume they do this with other products as well.

          2. Second that. I heard many horrible stories regarding non-US warranty. That’s why you only buy from US-authorized dealers. If it’s too cheap to be true, it’s fishy. BHPhoto, Adorama or Amazon is your best friend.

          3. 1 year warranty from the seller not from Fuji. I would avoid 6ave for more than $250 purchase. You cannot gamble 1 grand 🙁

  1. what is point of offering link for some discounted merchandise when seller has multiple nightmarish reviews ?? WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND would roll-the-dice to save a few bucks only to end up in retail hell ???? Really fujirumors, you can read the negative reviews too right ??

      1. thanks for reply, sure i saw positive 98.9 but after reading the negatives ill pass, some of the negatives are egregious and terrifying, wonder why i’m coming up as poiyutm n ? oh well …

        1. For the high volume sellers, 98% positive is an excellent rating actually. Outstanding. There are always people who cannot be satisfied with anything, no matter what you do. Also, shit happens, plain and simple. For example, once upon a time I’ve received a broken package from Adorama. Just a small corner of the UPS box has been worn out in transit, but a lot of small yet heavy doohickeys manages to escape into oblivion: various goosenecks, clamps, assorted nuts and bolts… All expensive stuff survived, that wasn’t a case of theft obviously. Filed a claim, never got any money back neither from Adorama nor from the UPS. Guess what? I wrote a negative review, but kept ordering from them. That was a hiccup. Most large businesses suck at dealing with hiccups. You have to live with that, or buy from the small sellers with pristine track record.

          1. that is utterly ridiculous in the age of amazon, why would anybody choose to use an off-brand-seller to save a few bucks, this seller has a number of truly nightmarish negative reviews, not a one-off, its the LACK_OF_ANY_COMMUNICATION complaints that should be most feared by any sensible buyer, truly buyer beware ! or use amazon and know your problem will be resolved

    1. Well, adorama on ebay. I mean, something is just normal. As long as it is not some grey market product uncovered by warranty. Since you will deal with warranty after 30 days after all. As far as I know, 6ave at most will sell a kit separately.

  2. Fujifilm gear continues to lose value. It is amazing how fast these products drop from their retail price. Products that sell well do NOT need constant price drops. That’s simply a fact of retail.
