which one is the better deal?
Great price, but not lowest ever. I bought it when it was $289 new on Amazon back in January.
It now 360.00 and 330.00…… Bummer
Lowest ever? Not so much… Saw it at Costco canada last Christmas for 249.99.
Sad when I can’t even get over the hump to buy an e-mount at $300 when the lens alone is worth that.
I took the weekend to stare at A7R pictures. I pixel peeped until my eyes hurt. Photoshop….back to lightroom…adjustments…100ISO, 6400ISO..back and forth. MEH…I expected to be blown away. What I didn’t know is that to double the resolution of any sensor you have to multiply by 4! That means if you want double the resolution of 24 you’ll have to grab yourself a 96MP sensor. Think about it this way….24MP is only double the resolution of a 6MP sensor. So what’s my point? A7R’s 36MP just isn’t THAT much of a game changer as people make it out to be man. I also thought by applying global tone mapping to something with more MP’s I’d get a more natural outcome- not really. Now I understand why some people on here have been trading “up” to the A7S from an A7R. Didn’t make much sense- now it does.
I hope you’ll be happy with your a7S, dude.
While this site is hawking “deals” Photo Rumors is breaking news of an actual new Sony Camera with revolutionary sensor.
Do tell!!!
Sony
Isn’t the nex3n the one that makes that annoying toy camera noise that can’t be turned off? I remember a friend who owns it telling me about something like that.
