    1. It’s made for the wannabe leica owners who don’t know how to hold their cameras right. It’s such a light AF camera so you can rest it on the left palm when shooting. No need to turn the focus ring while composing like on a MF leica either. A wrist strap is easier and better.

    1. I prordered mine and am anxiosly awaiting it.
Based on the performance charts this lens will be excellent for C size sensor as the center sharpness is superb.
Most tests Ive seen indicate that f8 or f11 should take care of vignetting and f11 produces the highest resolution at all focal lengths.

  1. That grip for the a7 makes it a monster size camera- can you say biggie size me. Secondly, I’m suprised the guy wasn’t on a beach this time. Guess he didn’t want to get sand in that delicate e-mount camera.

  2. That grip for the rx10 is HILARIOUS. Also, the 150-600…yes, those pics look promising and I hope it delivers. I just sold my 500 reflex and now need a serious replacement.

  3. Too bad the A7 vertical grip doesn’t let you charge the batteries through it. I wanted one so much until I heard about this.

  4. In Australia at the moment you get the vertical grip FREE along with the adapter promotion that is still ongoing including the Metabones EF smart adapter III or LA-EA4 (as well as basic Nikon and Leica M if you are silly enough to opt for one of those). So you can get an A7 + Grip + MB III or LA-EA4 for $1700! Not that the admin will care as no affiliate links of course 😉

    1. I’d like to know where to get the deal to.
Only seen the free MB III adapter via redemption with the deal being $1999

  5. The vertical grip certainly works for me. My main reason to purchase this grip is to balance the heavier/longer lenses I plan on buying for this camera. However, once in-hand I was pleasantly surprised by the look and feel–its very comfortable as the video points out and double battery life for this camera is certainly welcome. The grip weighs 11.9 ounces and with two NP-FW50 batteries another 4.2 ounces so will add total 16.1 ounces to the camera to help balance heavier lenses. However, if you want light-weight, just grab the camera and a few batteries in your pocket and off you go.

  6. I realized the A7r is a fantastic camera and I wouldn’t mind on the one myself. However, with the grip installed it makes the whole thing’ look like a toy camera.
