I spoke ti B&H, they got the stock of the lens but do not Expect any A7 cameras until late this week/early next week.
That’s the same thing they told me, just a few minutes ago. So no, sorry Andreas, but you are wrong. Neither B&H nor Amazon (from whom I ordered my A7) currently have any A7/Rs in stock.
Wait. Are you talking about 1) Cameras being in Stock 2) Camera shipment of first preorders? Because I talk about 2).
Both actually, because i pro-ordered mine through B&H and whomever (amazon, adorama, 17th street photo/Cameraland) has it first i will get it from and cancel my pre-order.

I placed my order in the first ten minutes of the launch day. Neither B&H nor Adorama are shipping and both have confirmed, in writing, that the earliest they may ship is 12/1. Whoever told you otherwise was uninformed, mistaken, or prevaricating. I’m assuming your good faith, just to be courteous.

This is what was a completely wrong post and what is being referred to above.
Oh wait, I see the confusion now. you did say in the text 35mm but the graphic you linked right below it was for the camera so that created a lot of confusion.
I think that is what Andreas is saying the “LENS” is in stock not the “Cameras”.
I preordered A7R 10/15 midnight from Amazon. Nothing happened yet.
I pre-ordered the A7r on October 15th on Amazon. Right now it says that it will arrive after December 25th.

Speaking of the cameras, I just got an update from amazon saying that the a7r I ordered will arrive after December 25, what a shame! I’m about to cancel my order but I don’t know where else I could purchase one and still receive it sooner.
When did you pre-order? I pre-ordered the r right at the announcement. I haven’t heard anything from Amazon.
I don’t understand why they’d tell you after Dec 25th, first I’ve heard of anything like that so far, and I haven’t heard about anyone being sold out anywhere in the world yet?
I am also talking about Nr. 2 (Camera shipment of preorders). I placed my preorder for an A7 with Amazon on Oct. 16, and I must have been one of the very first people to get a preorder in. But as of today, the order page still says: “Delivery Estimate: Not Yet Available” And this afternoon, when my lens at B&H said that it was ready to ship, I called and inquired about their stock of A7s. The person I spoke to said that they had not yet received any from Sony. So again, I’m sorry, but your “Source” was wrong.
already cancelled, bought from taobao, arrived the 2nd day, much cheaper even take into account of the fedex intl. shipping cost.
Will they still honor your warranty? Or is it considered a grey market camera?
I don’t expect any warranty as I’m not in China and won’t get service easily anyway. Owned previous SONY cameras, which are very solid even after I dropped them.
Don’t they know that FE already stands for Fish Eye?
Don’t worry, Sony will change the mount/system/naming convention soon and you will get to go through the rest of the alphabet.
Sony have not changed mount or system.
Maybe the won’t arrive before Christmas is is a standard statement since they have no estimate yet.

That’s what the others are referring to. In this post you say the A7 and A7R is in stock in the US and shipping soon which was not true and is still not true.
As I mentioned above, in teh earlier post you did say 35mm but the graphic that you posted with that post was for the camera not the lens creating the confusion.
In China the A7 and A7R are in Stock since middle of last week. Got my A7R last Saturday. 🙂
I love it. But i didn´t go for one of the Sony/Zeiss lenses yet. I using manual lenses with adapter so far…

I got mine in Hong Kong and they only sent out the email that they had the cameras 2 days before the release date (that was Nov 15). Sony has sold way more than expected, so I’m sure they are building them still and will send to Amazon at the last moment.
Mine shipped, should be here on Wednesday. Now just need a camera to attach to it!

Just a heads up for Canadians. Sony.ca has the A7r and A7 kit in stock, shipping immediately if you are waiting for one.
Well, not sure what to make of this news since mine did not ship yet.
I live in UA and ordered Japanese version through eBay and got it last Wednesday! I’ve been enjoining it using Leica lenses. I ordered LAE4 adapter through Digitalrev and got it last Friday. I ordered some A lensed through Amazon. I will surely be having some fun this week. I also have RX10 coming and A7r preorder through Amazon. Christmas is coming early for me this year!!
