By the way, what happened with the alpha-like menu update that was supposed to be in the Nex5T? Is it there or does it still rely on the old system?
Do you know if the 5T has the same resistive screen as the 5R or did they switch back to the capacitive as on the 5N?
Thanks for all the hard work on the SR5’s!
From one of the hands on preview blogs or websites, it made it seem as if everything was exactly the same, except for the addition of NFC. So, the screen and the menu were the same as the 5R. I’ve got the 5N, and after playing around with the 5R screen , I didn’t find it to be a big difference at all, especially for tap zoom. If for scrolling in picture review, or tapping on the apps, it might be different, but it never occurred to me to use the screen for that purpose because it’s definitely not like using a smartphone. Anyway, sounds like the 5T is a carbon copy of the 5R with NFC. It’s pretty good news because the 5R price is dropping as we speak.

But Admin… is it wise to buy, or should we wait for the exciting NEX news you are holding out on??
This is war!
Price war! Look at all the deals, X-E1, G5, NEX-5R and also many dirt cheap DSLR double lens kits! There will be blood.
Black bodies dun really sell as well as other colour body for nex, they always need to throw in alot of item to get rid, wonder why Sony never listen and like to make nex7 and nex6 only black body available. If they have a white or silver body, it would definitely three to four times of the sales! Nex is for the new age modern people!
