Amazon deal on current NEX (if you don’t want to wait for the new ones)

So, we saw the new NEX-5R and NEX-6 cameras and the E-mount FF cameras will arrive in 2013 only. So if you still want a NEX camera now and don’t have time to wait for the NEX-5R and NEX-6 than you may take the chance to grab the latest $100 bundle offer on Amazon (Click here).

The only bad news is that the Zeiss 24mm for NEX is still not avialable and you can get it only by buying a huge $400 extra via third party resellers on Amazon (Click here).

    1. I have bought my last NEX, unless they make new models for photographers rather than for videographers. Any hotshoe other than iISO will kill any and all interest on my part.

        1. Currently best UK price with kit lens £400-£430 and then £50 “cashback”

This cashback offer ends end August
I wonder what stocks are like?

      1. At the right price and if the 5R specs and first reviews show that the new features and changes of the 5R do not warrant spending 250 dollar/euro more than the price of a 5N.

  1. NEX-5R in 2013??

NEX-5n is annuncied in similar dates and it arrive to shops 2 moths later!

    2013?? Sure???

(sorry for my english, i’m spanish people)

    1. Hey, this Amazon deal does not count as a rumour and the recent hybrid news were about A- & E-Mount together, so please stand calm in the queue, because otherwise I’ll start to destroy your pleasure about future A99 news whining in the comments I want some NEX news instead of your boring A-stuff!

    2. Rumors will be posted as they arrive. You want complete silence instead of rumors about the best selling line of sony cameras? Shut your mouth already. You’re just annoying our exalted admin

  2. My Zeiss 24mm is well worth the $999 I paid for it last September. But anyone willing to pay $1600 for one needs to have their head examined.

    1. Andreas
Any info about an update on NEX7 firmware, that would correct mushy JPEGs in low Light and occasionally overheat during video shoots?
      Many Thanks

      Cyr

  3. “So, we saw the new NEX-5R and NEX-6 cameras and the E-mount FF cameras will arrive in 2013 only. ”

Wait, what? 5R and 6 also in 2013? Where did “we see” this?

    1. Exactly. Did I blink and miss seeing this as well? Surely Sony wouldn’t announce new products next week and then wait 5 months to introduce them. That’s almost as long as their product refresh cycle. And what would they expect to happen to their sales of the 5n during this wait time? Because I’ll tell them if they’re not sure; they’ll crash faster than an X-51A test flight

      1. Andreas probably meant

‘So, we saw the new NEX-5R and NEX-6 cameras and THAT the E-mount FF cameras will arrive in 2013 only.’

        He probably missed the THAT.

So many rumors that are not really rumors by the way 🙂

Let us take some moment to thank Andreas for all the time he is investing on chasing the news and info all over the world for us, and particularly with so good news.

I am specially impressed when comparing to other websites activity like yyyrumors.com where yyy is another camera manufacturer.

        SAR is soooo dynamic !

        Congrats, mate and many thanks…

  4. For a rumor site you are misinformed. The Zeiss lens is IN STOCK at sony.com, for the normal retail price. I just bought one;) And the education discount drops it below $1000.

  5. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but
I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for
me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
