  1. Tom L, I think it’s like everything, some lenses are good, some aren’t. On a separate point, there are lots of stories about poor quality control, but I’ve snever had a problem. I have the previous model of the 50-150 and it’s fantastic. Especially as it’s a fairly unique focal length that’s perfect for crop sensors. Actually, I don’t think the new version of that lens is available in Sony mount yet (not in the UK anyway)

  2. Why no 120-300/2.8 or 300-800/5.6 Sigs for Alpha? With the cost of Mino 600, Sony 500, 300… One would think Sig would have a market for these. They actually promoted the 120-300/2.8 Alpha mount for about a second… before reversing the decision.

  3. Was there ever a rebate for sony 70-200G ? I’m planning to get one, and I don’t mind waiting a month or two if I could save a couple of hundreds…

  4. I was excited to see the new 50-150 on that list, thinking Sigma finally released the Sony mount version. This lens is one of the best Sigma makes. It just shows that for the time being, Sony is a low priority for Sigma since they are leaving out key lenses like this one from their lineup. This lens was announced for Sony mount, but never actually produced.
