Once again let’s talk about that super non NEX and non SLT camera 😉
The camera is now in Stock and shipping at Amazon US (Click here) and Bhphoto (Click here). And it quickly become the most sold camera at Amazon US (Click here to see the ranking).
The image on top shows the new RX100 leatherette skin found via DC.watch. And if you need a grip…don’t worry! Richard-Franeic has the solution!
Great work Sony! Now let’s get excited about the next A99 too!

Is it OK if I get excited about the F5 as well?
people with comments like “The RX100 isn’t an A-mount camera, why do you post it on SAR!?!” coming in 3, 2, 1…
that RX100 looks so nice with that “leather” skin!
I don’t care. Good Sony cameras should be posted here 😉

The NEX isn’t an A-mount camera, why do you post it on SAR?
The NEX is a Alpha camera but isn’t = A-mount!
oh yes yes, the good NEX-series..but I was thinking more about those A-mount users…you know, there is a bunch of those here that most of the time the admin post about E-Mount, they begin to complain about it.
What is left is to patiently wait for a quick price drop 🙂
Does the “skin” and the “grip” work together? Or do I need to pull out my saws-all?
Yeah, that’s kinda annoying. Would be great if that skin and the grip came as a combo pack.
That grip is hotshit.
Franeic Grips are actually very nice and add a great deal of usability to the cameras he makes them for.
I think you have misunderstood. 😉

I need that leatherette in the worst way. I hope they make them in brown and ship to America.
Got my RX100 this morning. Feels good. Charging right now so not played yet.
Nice.
A shot from Flickr (not mine) of another grip for the rx100.

Is this true that Sony will have an unveiling on this monday? Probably it will be the sony 5n successor 🙂
I have ordered five RX100 for porn production. Mainly for on location candid acquisitions.
Then you should wait for the RXXX100.
I want a silver rx100 with Tan leather!
