Dear SAR readers,
I am ready to spend my time with my family, and I want to share some very few words here. I am not going to stop to work on SAR in these days. Quite the opposite, I have some time off from my work and I am planning to think on a whole redesign of the website. If you want you can send me your suggestions to sonyalpharumors@gmail.com. I will also write a full 2012 Sony camera and lens prediction list. It will be a mix of rumors and speculation. And if there is no new Tsunami, Flood or Nucelar catastrophe like we had in that year I am sure Sony will be able to announce ALL the much expected FF cameras and lenses.
That said I wish all of you a peaceful Christmas, and a nice time with all the person you love! Thanks for all the great time you shared here on SAR this year!

I picked up my Nex7 yesterday from the Glasgow Sony store. It’s brilliant, I think I might like it better than my A77. I need to find some better lenses though.

Thank you to the people that run this site you’ve posted some nice photos as well as kept us informed. No thanks at all to Sony who has done as little as possible to get the A77 out before the holidays. I will be switching to Nikon on Jan 15 if the A77 is not available before then. I will be selling my 70-200 2.8 Sony / 50 2.8 Sony / 300mm 2.8 HS Minolta / 20mm 2.8 Minolta / 1.4 tele / all will be priced to sell.
You are kidding right? Their factory was FLOODED. Christ-on-a-bike after this disastrous year for Sony and its employees you’d think people would get it by now…good riddance to you!

Didn’t the original post and one yesterday also said that A77 is in stock at B&H? I personally witnessed it today, although it’s is gone by now. Also, A77 is available at SonyStyle for preorder to be delivered in the first week of January. I’m sure you will not have any problems with selling your Sony glass, but maybe you will reconsider? 🙂

Merry Christmas Andrea – this has become my favorite photography site. Sony should really bankroll you as, I have spent more on their products due to this website than any other.

I am wishing for an announcement for a quick release to the new full frame cameras in the SPRING of 2012…….Sony, please don’t take forever!…..My a700 is getting tired.
Merry Christmas to everyone! Nice to see that SAR wasn’t afraid to say what some now feel is inappropriate. This is a wonderful day as I now have my glorious new A900 with the ‘King Carl’ (135) lens! I’m looking forward to whatever replaces it, but I sure wanted to have this puppy while they’re still available. Proven design that works every time, so no regrets here!

Merry Christmas, SAR’s, i was going to use my a77 today with my 70-200mm to take photos and turned my camera and put my memmory card in to the camera and it turned off and now it wont turn, i tool the battery out for several mins and it still wont work, thanks sony for pos camera that broke on xmas.
Have you tried a hard reset?
Turn ON the camera.
Press MENU, PLAY, MOVIE buttons simultaneously.
While Pressing these buttons, turn OFF the camera.
Release your fingers, and wait over 30 seconds.
Press MENU, PLAY, MOVIE buttons simultaneously again.
While Pressing these buttons, now turn ON the camera.
Release your fingers.
See if that does anything.
This is the procedure to go through if you brick the camera during a firmware update, I got it here:
