US Superdeals on all cameras that will be replaced soon (E-P3, GX1, G5)

In April we will see plenty of new Panasonic and Olympus MFT cameras and that’s the reason why we have some huge price drops in USA:

1) Olympus E-P3 with kit lens now sells for $49 at Adorama (Click here). That’s $150 less(!) than the normal price at Amazon.
2) The Panasonic GX1 body sells for $254 at Amazon (via third party reseller).
3) The GX1 with 14-42mm X lens sells for $489 at Amazon (via third party reseller). That’s  $210 less than the “normal” price at BHphoto.
4) G5 double lens kit for $543 at Amazon (Click here).

Three more US deals of cameras that will NOT be replaced soon:
1) $100 savings on the E-M5’s are back at Amazon US (Click here), Adorama (Click here) and Bhphoto (Click here).
2) Panasonic LX7 sells for $298 at Amazon (Click here).
3) Panasonic 12-35mm X lens for $985 at Amazon (via Panacam).

  1. I almost bought a case of EP-3. Then, I realized the typo.
I wounder how many 43rumors readers just got a heart attack.

    1. at $49 i would have ordered probably 3 e-p3’s just to have as backups or maybe to gift one. I went from heart skips a beat to realizing it must have been a typo while the adorama page was loading 🙁

    1. Your head hurts because you think the $449 is a great bargain or it is still too high, considering you can buy the G3 for $219 or the GX1 for $254? (The latter are bodies only, but I assume most readers here have lenses.)

        1. Most digital cameras depreciate so fast–after a 2 years of age their prices tend to flip into a tailspin/nosedive.

    1. its actually a little cheaper to buy them separate right now. Im really tempted to pick up a gx1 as a companion to the gh2

      1. I did that… got a GX1 to compliment my GH2. It’s perfect for that and soooo small with the 20mm! My GF loves it!
The GX1 is a great little camera.

        1. I use my GX1 as a compliment to my OMD…It’s much simpler, smaller and still has great image quality. U guys are lucky…I bought my “body only” 15 months ago …the day that they were available in the US and paid $600 for it.!!!…

  2. I need more rumors in my life. It feels empty without them. Even fake mockups, I don’t care. Give me some false hope.

    1. Get a grip, man! *sitchblap* Take deep breathes and focus on a full-frame 4/3 camera with ingrown EVF/OVF/VHF, serrated edges, and huge hairy tits. Breathe out.

  3. Here we go again. The world subsidising America for US super deals. $3 in 10 world money goes to the US so they can have sales $5 in 10 off.

If that is not the case then why over inflate US prices in the first place and what does that say for rest of world pricing.

    1. There’s no conspiracy at work. Here in the good ole US of A, we call it a “clearance sale”. It’s just a way to clear current stock for new models.

      1. As I said.
“If that is not the case then why over inflate US prices in the first place and what does that say for rest of world pricing”.
To sell at that price there is subsidy. The subsidy comes from oly. Or the wholesalers are taking a big hit and they don’t do that with out, again, a subsidy.
