That’s cheaper than a low class hooker. The only thing is, it probably doesn’t last as long. SKIP.
Roberts Camera’s come-on price might be $138, but to actually get the camera you have to pay a whopping $32.15 for shipping. Roberts is located in the Midwest. I recently had a camera of similar size and packaging shipped across the entire country for $18.
Lowball, come-on prices with a catch like inflated shipping and handling costs is a very old tactic, one that has always made a bad impression on me and others I know. Ironically, the actual Roberts price of $170.49 shipped seems fair.
Shipping was free for me (for UPS ground).
@SoulFood @hawk1500, as I check the “sold-out” page showing on eBay a day later, it does say free ground shipping. I can only guess that either there was a change of mind to move the cameras out faster or perhaps someone noticed my comment and decided making a bad impression wasn’t worth it. The other possibility, I suppose, is that Roberts intended for the shipping to be free, but somehow whoever posted the eBay page misunderstood or assumed the cameras were to be shipped via USPS at $32.15. Then, when someone noticed the error, the shipping charge was removed. Whatever the case, I’m happy for those who got their GF3 for $138. I just hope anyone who had to pay $170.49 is able to get an adjustment.
Shipping says free on eBay…
I bought a used GF3 with the 13 mm F.2:4 lense a year ago as a backup for my Olympus EP3.
The lens is awesome and was really woth the Money I paid, but the GF3 ?
I really never bonded with that camera, and I am very disappointed with image quality.
The JPEG are not very good compared to the EP3 for instance.
And ergonomics are really bad.
SO I recently bought the Olympus EPM2 bundled with 14-43 and 40-150 mm for about 300 €.
That Little camera is a real GEM especially with the Panasonic 14 mm or Olympus 45 mm.
I never use the GF3 anymore and only seldom uses my EP3
The GF3 is not a bad camera, just misses the mark – poor ergonomics & the small size is negated by a heavy weight
