In February Olympus will launch a new OMD camera and at in Europe you can already find some nice deals. The craziest one is running in Finland (here via DL). Don’t know if they ship Europe wide but they sell the E-M5 for 599 Euro! Also in Germany the price went down to 799 if you use a special code at Fotomundus (Click here). Feel free to share more E-m5 deals by using Dealsrunner submission form!
P.S.: How the heck is it possible that a Finnish store can sell the E-M5 for almost 200 Euro less than other EU stores???

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh….sold mine JUST in time! Phew.
Looks like Olympus really wants my money…
Well… Telefoto.fi has the Olympus 12-40mm for 929.00€! It’s the cheapest price I’ve seen in Europe but I don’t know if they send/sell abroad. The link is here anyway: http://www.telefoto.fi/tuote/235/7456/olympus-mzuiko-digital-ed-12-40mm-f28
I’m surprised that here in Switzerland you can get the zuiko 12-40mm for chf 984.- at digitec.ch. I ordered one but the delivery time is not known yet. I just hope to get the lens before Christmas. Well, miracle happens 🙂
Have one on order from Amazon Spain at €850 – but delivery is unknown – still not in a hurry – perhaps Father Winter Festival will oblige
They only ship to Finland, Sweden and Estonia (at least these are the countries during registration as a buyer that you can select).
No surprise.
That’s what happens when you ship inventory that can’t be sold. This isn’t a post-season clearance sale.
Finnland is not a part of the EU, different Distribution and Warranty. You don`t know from wich Truck the camera was fallen.
Finland IS part of the EU! Get your facts straight.
Finland must be part of the EU since they use the Euro currency.
Finland is in EU, yes. But there are also countries that use the Euro and are not members of Eu, like Andorra, San Marino and even Montenegro. Of course they have no influence on the currency they use. On the other side, there are countries that don’t use the Euro but are inthe EU as well.
Its the other way around, not all EU Countys use the EURO e.g. monetary Union like
England, Sweden, Poland and Balkan countries (except slowenia.
Perhaps You mistake Finland with Norway, its not Part of EU and subsequencially of te monetary Union.
Nothing you wrote contradicts what I said. Maybe you should check your reading abilities.
Yes, as a Finn I can guarantee Finland is part of the EU. I did buy a new E-M5 body for just that (well, for slightly less, even, as it had been on display with some 400 actuations). So, I don’t know the reason why, but am pleased with the fact anyway!
Holy cow Hypk….! On which continent have YOU been living the last 20 years?Finland joined EU in 1995 that is almost 19 years ago. And Greece and Finland were the very first two countries that started to use euros. Due to timezone difference they started exactly 60 minutes earlier than Italy, France, Germany etc…
New promotions on the E-M5 must be coming from everywhere these days: the Spanish site http://www.fotoboom.com is offering a new black Olympus 45mm (that costs 280 € on their site) on every E-M5 sold!
Will they ship black GM1’s to the US?
I don’t care about the silly EU 29 minute video limit, because my girlfriend wants a GM1 … it’s so cute!
Seems like the 599€ – 650€ is the common price for E-M5 in Finland these days, and 799€ for the kit with 12-50mm lens.
Here is three more Finnish stores that sell that camera with the same price more or less:

What is nice with verkkokauppa.com is that I bought my M5 + zoom Olympus-M-ZUIKO-DIGITAL-ED-14-150mm
And paid only 599.90 + 299,90 = 899,80e and that’s quite nice traveling companion with nice zoom.
And heres the link for the zoom.

I just got information about shipping outside of Finland.
It depends about the product and country where you like item to be shipped.

When the EM-% ist getting cheaper it would bbe dificult to market a new entry Model with less/same Functionality (no weather sealing, 1.44m Viewfinder) for the DSLR entry Price. So I hope the direct E-M5 successor will come. With:
Build like E-M5 (size and quality)
must have:
New viewfinder, all the Functions (but not all buttons) of E-M1
nice to have:
on sensor PD, not having Phase detection would be a good way to differentiate. But since OLY always put on sensor in all I doubt it,
The Differentiation will be only with the Handling and the Button Layout. Just Like E-P and E-PL
Really hope I am right with this.
~300 Euros would a good price for this cam. Oly should think about all the pricey lenses and the lens hoods they can sell for it. 😉
